What if YOU stopped growing, maturing and learning when
you were 12?...And what if the world was filled with these interesting animals?
Middle School is called MIDDLE School for a
reason.
Because in Middle School we are Half-Baked Humans.
A Time of...CHANGEGrowth - Physical, Social, Emotional and Intellectual IndependenceRebellion/Testing BoundariesShort AttentionAdult AvoidanceAwkwardnessHormonesEnergy and SpiritInterestsChanging FriendshipsDrama...
A time of OPPORTUNITY...Communication and working together are the keys
to making these tough years a success!
Ask questions. Be involved.
Be ready for surprises.
...And always keep in mind they are only halfway through the baking process!

Fully Cooked (maybe a tad overdone...) --->

Foreign Language Eligibility Our Goal: To Determine the Top 180 Reading/Language Arts Students
We rank order the entire student population based on the following:
• MAP Winter Percentile• MAP Fall Percentile• 5th Grade OAA Score• Stanford Achievement Test Score
From that list we cross reference with student grades and subjective input from the school team to determine the top 180 students.
These top 180 will receive a letter to choose a Foreign Language Preference.
If there is more interest than availability in either Spanish or French then random selection will determine who gets their first choice. It is NOT first come, first served.
