Unit 1: The Linguistics of Unit 1: The Linguistics of SlangSlangAsk at least two of your friends if you

can record them this week at lunch or before/after school, and have them ask their parents to sign a permission form

Borrow one of our digital audio recorders and record ordinary talk for at least 30 and up to 60 minutes

Goal: to create an online multimedia slang dictionary for the SKILLS project.
