There may be just a couple of complications…
you MUST have (or configure) a system that checks for a boot from a CD BEFORE booting from the hard drive.
Source for directions to reconfigure on various systems: http://www.inventio.co.uk/gettingintothebios.htm

And then there aren’t the drivers…
• Much of your peripheral hardware will cease to be “plug and play”– You will have to tour the manufacturers’
websites for Linux-compatible drivers (if they exist yet)
• Since you may not have access to many of your secondary storage devices and your CD is being used for the operating system…– You may be limited to the storage space on
floppy disks for your A: drive to save files.
So, with just a few minor adjustments,
YOU ARE HERE!!!
