Welcome to Great Plains Bank’s Remote Deposit Capture Service
Remote Deposit Capture allows you to make deposits to your account with Great Plains Bank by
simply photographing the front and back of the check using the camera feature on your
smartphone. It also allows you to see a history of all deposit items that have already been
processed.
Requirements You must be enrolled in Online Banking and you must also have the GPB Mobile app on your
mobile device.
Installing the GPB Mobile App If you do not have the GPB Mobile App on your smartphone or tablet, you can install it by
following these steps:
Log on to the App Store on your device
Select the Search Feature and type in Great Plains Bank
Select Great Plains Bank and click Install
The GPB Mobile Bank App will now be available on your device.

Making a DepositYou will use the following steps to submit a check deposit via your mobile device.
Step Action Display
1 To access Mobile Banking Check Deposit, you will
begin by selecting the plus menu in the task bar of the
mobile application.
2 On the resulting screen, you will see options for
accessible features within the mobile application.
You will select Deposit to continue.

3 The application will take a moment to load the Remote
Deposit Capture functionality. You will see the
pinwheel icon spinning along indicating that the
application is “updating”.
The Deposit screen then appears, presenting
guidelines for making deposits.
Proceed by selecting Continue.
Note: If you are presented with the error “No eligible accounts were found for this service based
on requirements established by your financial institution”, please contact a customer service representative.
Step Action Display
4 The Deposit screen appears.
On this screen, you have four options:
· Front: Allows you to capture an image of
the front of your check.
· Back: Allows you to capture an image of
the back of your check.
· Amount: Allows you to enter the amount
of the check you are depositing.
· Deposit To: Allows you to choose the
account to receive the deposit.
· Email Receipt To: Allows you to enter an
email address where a deposit receipt will
be sent.
You will start by selecting Front to capture an
image of your check.

Corner icons are displayed so that you can ensure you align the check within the available
boundaries. A camera shutter button (indicated by a
white circle) appears allowing you to capture the
image. An X also appears which allows you to
cancel the image capture.
Note: For best results, the check should be placed on
a dark background. All four corners of the check must
also fit within the boundary indicated by the app.
Select the shutter to take the picture of the check.
6 The shutter button changes to a green circle with a
checkmark. Select this button to accept the photo and
save the check image. On the left, the X changes to
an arrow which will allow you to attempt again.

7 After selecting the checkmark, the Deposit screen
appears, this time showing a smaller version of the
image captured from the front of the check.
Select Back to capture the endorsed side of the
check.
8 Again, the device camera launches within the Mobile
Banking app. Corner icons are displayed so that youcan ensure to align the check within the available
boundaries. A camera icon appears allowing you
to capture the image. An X also appears which allows
you to cancel the image capture.
Note: The check itself should be endorsed before the
image is captured. Checks should be endorsed as:
For Deposit Only – Institution Name
Account Number
First/Last Name
Select the camera to take the picture of the check.
9 After capturing the image, the shutter button changes
to a green circle with a checkmark. You will select this
button to accept the photo and save the check image.
On the left, the X changes to an arrow which will allow
you to go back and attempt another capture if
necessary.
Step Action Display
10 After selecting the green check mark, the Deposit
screen appears, this time showing a smaller version of
the image captured from both the front and back of the
check.
Select Amount to enter the dollar amount of the check
deposit.
11 A number pad launches within the app.
Enter the dollar amount of the deposit exactly as it
appears on the check including dollars and cents.
When complete, select Done to store the amount of
the check being deposited.
Step Action Display
12 After entering the amount, the Deposit screen
appears, showing the amount of the check you are
attempting to deposit.
Select the Deposit To field in order to select the
account into which the funds will be placed.
13 A list of eligible accounts appears.
Select the account to receive the deposit from the list
of eligible accounts.
Note: If a particular account that you wish to use for
this deposit does not appear in the list, please contact
a customer service representative.
Step Action Display
14 The Deposit screen appears again. You will
need to enter an email address for a receipt of the
deposit.
Note: The last used email address will prefill if you
have completed a deposit before via the
phone or tablet application.
15 Now that all the fields are completed, you should see
the front and back image of your check, along with the
amount, account to accept the deposit, and the email
where you would like a receipt delivered.
You can select Cancel to end the process of
depositing a check or select Continue to proceed.

16 The screen darkens and a pinwheel icon appears,
indicating that the deposit information is
being uploaded.
At this point, the system is checking over the supplied
check image, and payment information for issues such
as blurry text, cut-off images, and missing information.
You will be prompted to resupply any pieces of
information that are not included or accepted before
you can continue.
17 If the system accepts your check images and
deposit information, a dialogue box appears asking
you to approve the deposit.
You can select cancel to make any changes to the
deposit information.
Select Approve to upload the check
information and continue.
Step Action Display
18 The pinwheel icon appears, indicating that
the deposit information is being submitted.
19 You will be returned to the Accounts screen where youwill see an indication at the top of the screen that
the deposit has been successfully scheduled.
Reviewing Deposit History
Mobile Remote Deposit Capture users can use the following steps to review
previously submitted check deposits.
Step Action Display
1 To access Mobile Banking Check Deposit history, you will begin by selecting the Recent option in the
task bar of the mobile application.
2 On the resulting screen, you will see options for
recent Bill Payment history and Check Deposit history.
Select Check Deposits to continue.
Step Action Display
3 A list of recent deposit history appears.
You will see a chronological list of all historical
transactions.
Transactions include:
· Date
· Amount
· Deposit Status
Selecting the deposit will provide you with more
details
4 The Details screen appears.
You are shown information about the deposit
including:
· Date
· Amount
· Status
· Fields for check front and back images
· Deposited amount
· Deposit Date
You cannot initially see the images of the check
that were submitted with your deposit, but images can
be downloaded when you select the check front or check back buttons.
Step Action Display
7 Check images selected to view appear.
You can decide to only view the check front or check
back individually.
Note: The images of the deposited check are not
stored locally on your device.
8 You can select a preview image of the check to
see a larger version.
You can return to the Details screen by selecting
Close in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
