UnderDr.Baker’sleadership,GeorgiaTechProfessionalEducationhassteadilyexpanded,nowreachingmorethan36,000learnersand2,600organizationseachyear.Dr.Baker’saward-winningworkontheimpactoftechnologyonengineeringstudents’learninghasgeneratedprojectssuchasmultilingualweb-basedintelligentsimulationsforproblemsolving,amongothers.LeadingDr.Baker’slistofhonorsistheW.M.KeckFoundationAwardforEngineeringTeachingExcellence.HehasbeennamedanENREducatorforConstruction’sNextGenerationaswellasanNSFNationalYoungInvestigator.HeisalsotherecipientoftheBestPaperAwardfromtheASCEJournalofComputing.WithinGeorgiaTech,hehasreceivedtheOutstandingInnovativeUseofEducationTechnologyAwardandtheW.RoaneBeardOutstandingTeacherAward.Currently,Dr.BakerservesastheSecretaryGeneraloftheInternationalAssociationofContinuingEngineeringEducation(IACEE)andalsoservesasthePresident-ElectfortheUniversityProfessionalContinuingEducationAssociation(UPCEA).HeisthePast-ChairoftheGeorgiaBoardofRegentsAdministrativeCommitteeonPublicServiceandContinuingEducation,andheisanactivememberofASEEandASCE.
