Christianity 101Please join us for Christianity 101 this Sunday, August 6, 6–8:30 pm in the Fireside Room. Taught by Steve Crane, this class covers the purpose and mission of ECC and basic Christi-anity. It is designed to help you grow in your relationship with Christ.

Short-term Mission Trip OpportunityKCCM Mission in India has asked for help at their yearly family camp, Sep-tember 25 to October 4 (Crossroads English School, 47 churches and two orphanages). Cost of the trip is around $2,000. The need is for children, youth, and teaching staff. If you are interested, or would like more information, contact Mark Post at 208-286-0879 ext. 14.

Friday Men’s Bible StudyThe men’s Bible Study taught by Steve Crane is beginning a study of Joshua, Fridays at 6 am at the Sunrise Family Restaurant at Glenwood and State Streets. All men are invited to attend.

Spiritual Mentoring for WomenAre you new to ECC? Or do you want help connecting and finding a friendship that will be a spiritual encouragement to you? ECC AUGUST MISSIONS: Hear the Cry of the World

Hear the Cry—Rwanda: Mark and Bobbie Post will be in Rwanda August 1–15. Mark is preaching and teaching at a pastors conference, and he and Bobbie are leading a marriage conference, and sharing with teachers from Africa Bright Future School. Hear the Cry—of the 300 million shoeless children in the world. We are grateful to have partnered with The Shoe That Grows, and grateful for the impact that our kids have had in the world with this as our our VBS Mission for 2017. Hear The Cry—Locally with LOVE INC of the Treasure Valley, and help fill a backpack for a child to prepare for the school year. Details coming soon.

2nd Annual Make a Difference SaturdayYou need to be involved! Please set aside Saturday morning, August 12, from 9 am to 12:30 pm to find out more about making dif-ference for Christ at ECC and in the Treasure Valley. Are you already involved? Red Cross Blood DriveECC will host the American Red Cross for a blood drive on Saturday, August 12, from 8 am to 1 pm in the East Lobby (enter Door 1). If you would like to donate, please sign up at the kiosk in the lobby, or sign up online at www.redcross-blood.org (look for August 12).

ECC Annual Men and Sons RetreatAugust 25–27. This year’s theme is Living Life Off the Hook (Guiding Men Through the Wilderness), with nationally-known speaker, author, and outdoorsman Brent Henderson. Cost is $100 per man and $85 for sons 12–17. Get details and sign up at the East Infor-mation Center.

Ladies Fall RetreatLadies, save the date: September 22–24, for our Fall Retreat at Ida-Haven in McCall. We have planned for some new features for this retreat and you won’t want to miss our speaker Julie Gariss as we focus on Spiritual Disciplines.
