Welcome to Clerkenwell & Social.

Within these pages you will find our cocktail list.

On May 6th 1806 the word “cocktail”, as we know it, was first published in New York in “The Balance and Columbian Repository”.

Here a Cocktail was defined as a mixture of spirits, sugar, water and bitters.

Having shape shifted for over 200 years, there are few that have stood the test of time. We have borrowed a select few and given them a twist with our tried and tested methods and techniques. These aren’t ordinary cocktails, we call them ‘infusion cocktails’ because the spirits and ingredients we use aren’t off the shelf – they are unique, in-house created infusions of spirits, liqueurs, syrups and bitters.

KaffirinhaAllegedly invented by Portugese slave traders who used limes to prevent scurvy then realised that the Cachaça they had brought

back from Brazil tasted much better when mixed with the limes. Our version of the legendary Caipirinha involves Cachaça infused with Kaffir Lime leaves, lemongrass syrup and fresh lime all muddled

The Oscar WildeThe Bellini was first invented in 1948 by Giuseppe Cipriani at Harry’s Bar in Venice. We’ve named ours after Oscar Wilde who

Much Ado About RumAnother Shakespeare inspired name because we couldnt resist the pun. Dark Rum infused with tamarind juice and molasses shaken together

with lemon juice and ice. Served with a sugar cane.

Breaking GoodWe are massive fans, isn’t everyone? We imagine Walter and Jesse
