CAMP ZION

CURRENT GUIDELINES

YOUTH MINISTRY (7TH - 12TH GRADE) YOUTH GROUPS - SR. HIGH SUNDAYS @ 7PM / JR. HIGH MONDAYS @ 6:30PM

[email protected] FOR SIGN-UP OR MORE INFO

Welcome Back To Our Campus The following guidelines will help us serve one another in love. We may make adjustments as we move forward under unusual circumstances, so pray for wisdom for your leaders, favor with our government, and patience for all of us. Please allow staff and ushers to direct you as needed.

Doors will be held or propped open.

Seating in the sanctuary will be limited to 250 people, with individuals or families six feet apart.

Overflow seating in the C.A.A. with live streaming and the same seating protocols.

Hand sanitizer available; Face masks available for those who don’t have one but want one.

Dismissal will be by the ushers, a row at a time beginning in the back.

If you’re sick, please stay home. If any member of your household exhibits symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home. If you’re in one of the most vulnerable categories, consider staying home. Services will continue to be streamed on our YouTube channel.

We trust people to take personal responsibility for their own health and safety. This implies healthy practices (hygiene, diet, exercise, etc.) before, after, and between church gatherings.

We will respect the fact that people’s comfort levels vary. If you’re more cautious, try not to judge those who seem less concerned. If you’re among the less concerned, don’t intrude into the personal space of others unless you’re sure they don’t mind. (We prefer this neighbor-respecting counsel to a list of rules about handshakes, hugs and high fives.)

_____________

Our Current Sermon Series, “Focused on the Family,” looks to Scripture for God’s counsel to moms and dads, children and parents. Today we’re taking a break from that series because it’s such an unusual occasion. But next Lord’s Day, June 7, we’ll resume this Mother’s Day through Father’s Day series.

Communion Next Sunday Pre-packaged communion elements will be provided.

Minibooks CCC staff encourages you to check out these helpful booklets in the Book Nook and CAA Lobby. You’ll find biblical answers to a myriad of problems. Books are 1 for $3 or 2 for $5 and due to the sensitive/private nature of some of the books there is a self-pay box available.

Neighbors In Need? Many Hands Project 2020 is now taking referrals for home assistance projects which you or a family member or neighbor may need help with this summer. Past projects have included yardwork, painting, basic repairs, and more. Priority will be given according to need. Contact Pastor Leo to submit referrals and we will have a project coordinator get in contact with you.

Welcome, Little One With great joy, Ryan & Samantha Brandt and sister Raegan, welcomed precious Emma James Brandt, on March 6, 2020. Congratulations!

Are We Having Camp? We ar e ver y sad to r epor t that we have cancelled our June camps and groups, the first time we have ever cancelled part of our summer program. We know this will be a disappointment to many children, parents, and staff, and we wish there was a way to make camps happen. We are already missing the fun, excitement, singing, and laughter that happens at camp. Most importantly, we will miss getting the chance to tell campers about the greatest friendship they could ever have, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

July & August? A decision r egar ding the summer camp sessions in July and August will be made at a later date.

How Can We Best Serve You? Ministr ies everywhere are comparing notes and experimenting with various ways to minister in these current times. We value your feedback and ideas as we seek out the best practices for serving our teens in this time. Please contact Pastor Leo to share your thoughts and brainstorm together.

ZBTHS and NEW TECH Class of 2020: Mark your calendar for a drive thru graduation celebration at the Bridge (across the street from ZBTHS on 21st St) THIS AFTERNOON from 3-6 pm. Senior High Worship And Word Tonight Tonight’s youth group will include special guests Pastor Lavan and Mrs. Tiffany Pipes from Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church, who will lead us in some high energy worship together and open the Word of God for us. It will be a memorable night!

A mighty fortress is our God A bulwark never failing Our helper He amid the flood Of mortal ills prevailing For still our ancient foe Doth seek to work us woe His craft and pow'r are great And armed with cruel hate On earth is not his equal
