BARNEY went to school for a total of 14,5 years including primary and lower secondary school. After finishing business high school he started to study to become a teacher. BAR-NEY plans to finish his education as a teacher in three years. His career goal is to be a teacher in primary school teach-ing sports, English and German. BARNEY’s former jobs in-

clude working as a paperboy, waiter, fitness instructor and as a teaching assistent. He has carried out voluntary work teaching children skiing in Austria.BARNEY’s native language is Danish and he also speaks Eng-lish, Spanish and German.BARNEY has not served in the military.

Which words describe your personality? Spontaneous, smiling, silly, happy, funny and emphatic.

Describe your strong sides: My strong sides are, that I am very good at keeping calm. I have a calm mind, so I am able to keep calm in stressed situ-ations as well as in situations where people might talk down to me. I am a very empathetic person and I tend to always look on the bright side of things. Another thing I like about myself is that I am a dreamer. I dream about things that I want to ac-complish and then I go out and fulfill those dreams.

Describe your weak sides: One of my weak sides is, that I tend to see things - especially my goals in black and white, which means that I either do everything I can to accomplish my goal or I won’t even bother trying.

What is your marital status? Girlfriend.

Do you have any children? No.

Which types of sport do you play or have played? Karate, gymnastics, fitness and boxing and diving.

Which other types of sports are you interested in? I am mostly interested in martial arts, because it has always been a big part of my life. Gymnastics is also a sport that I find interesting. Besides these sports, I find extreme sports interesting.

List any other hobbies you may have or have had:I have started to fall in love with SCUBA diving, which I hope one day I would be able to teach to my students.

List which musical instruments you play or have played: I have played a little bit of piano, but only until I knew how to play a full song.

Describe the best holiday you have had: I don’t know if it counts, but in 2014 I backpacked with some of my boarding school friends around Asia and that was defi-nitely the best traveling experience I ever had.If I had to choose a holiday, maybe it would be the time I went to Tunisia. My whole family was on that trip - mom, dad, sister, uncle, aunt, cousins, grandma and grandpa. It was a nice trip and I met the sweetest girl, which I could talk all day with. I remember it as a very good vacation.

What do you like the most about your own country:The things I like the most about my country is that it has free healthcare and a very good school system. It is free to go to school and when you turn 18, you get financial help from the government until you finish your education. Besides that I like our culture and well.. just the way the system works. Even though I like traveling, I will always be living in Denmark.

Who are your idols/heroes/heroines? I guess I really never had any idols or heroes. I have looked up to some people - nursery teachers, teachers, family members and friends. I like finding new friends that I can look up to at some point. Friends that is better than me at things so that they can learn me new things.

What are your goals in life? My goals in life are to find a job that I love and marry the woman of my dreams and start a family. Besides that I want to live in a small town close to my work, so I can afford all the things I want to try and visit all the places I haven’t visited yet with my family.

What were your childhood dreams:I wanted to be all kind of different things - veterinarian, banker, police officer. But when I grew a little older my dreams were all about my sport - karate.

Which values do you rank the highest?Family is the most important thing in my life. I love my fam-ily very much and they have a special place in my heart. My whole family have lived in the same small town, where I grew up and I want for my children to grew up in the same way as I did, with my family so close.

Which childhood experience made the biggest impres-sion on you? I don’t know if this was the childhood experience that made the biggest impression on me, but when I was a child, my sister and I often came to visit my grandpa and grandma and I loved it there. My grandpa and I used to always go to the woods where he would hand me a small hedge shears and hewould keep the big one to himself. Then we would go to the woods and make different paths by cutting down plants with spikes. That memory is very strong.

Which was your greatest experience or moment? I may refer to the happiest moment in my life then. This was just so special, because at that moment everything was per-fect. I was full of feelings. I felt so much happiness right there and the days after. That must be the greatest moment in my life.

Happiest: When I went home from my backpacking trip in Asia. My whole family came to pick me up at the airport and it was december, and in the car on the way home everything was just perfect.

Funniest: I think it was when I tried parachuting. It was crazy and the feeling I had - WOW.

Scariest: When I was on a vacation with my girlfriend to Egypt. One evening when we were relaxing in the lobby, peo-ple started writing to us if we were okay. We found out that IS had attacked a hotel not very far from our hotel. It was very scary to be that close to something terrible and be so far away from home. Our hotel did not get attacked, but I didn’t sleep that night.

Proudest: I have won a lot of tournaments in karate - one of them with 36 different countries participating. For that I have been very proud, but I think my proudest moment, was when I came home from my trip in Asia, and my personality had changed completely to the person I wanted to be. I liked who I was, and I was very proud to have become that man.

Most dangerous: In Japan my three friends and I went with this mysterious woman to her church. This could have been very dangerous, because we were in a foreign country in a building with a lot of men we didn’t know. At one time it could be really scary, but they turned out to be very nice. But it was foolish of us to go with them to that church. But besides that I don’t recall anything I have tried, that have been very danger-ous.

Greatest sorrow: Luckily I haven’t had many relatives who had died. Some died, when I was very young, which I can’t remember. But I got very upset when my best friend’s mother nearly died. It was a miracle she was found before she died and another that she survived. It did put a lot of things in per-spective and it was a reminder, that you need to appreciate the things you have and not take them for granted.

What is your favourite colour? Lime green.

What is your favourite animal? Dog.

What is your favourite kind of food? I love Thai food, but I don’t have a favorite dish, it depends.

What is your favourite kind of music? Songs that make you feel good - I often listen to the playlist“Beach Vibes” on Spotify.

What is your favourite kind of car? Koenigsegg one.
