Uno Suzie remains on target to take out her third Group race title in six weeks, after
qualifying for the Group 2 Bob Payne Spring Sprint at Wentworth Park on Saturday night
(September 19).
Finishing second behind Brad Hill Billy in the final heat, Uno Suzie was piped by just a
neck on the line, with the winner stopping the clock at 29.90.
Trainer of Uno Suzie, Anthony Azzopardi also saw My Boy Snoop qualifier fastest for the
series decider. Jumping from box one in the second heat, My Boy Snoop was impressive
in beating Ritza Rossi in 29.67.
Steve White prepared Paua To Roar took the opening heat from Goldengrove Lad in
29.81, while it was Funky Punk off box one in the third qualifiers which beat home Lady
Livingston.
The $40,000 to the winner final is an open final with all runners having winning chances.
Anthony Azzopardi said following the draw that he was reasonably happy with the draw,
and while he likes to see Uno Suzie off the track more, she is racing is good enough form
to overcome box four.
"She (Uno Suzie) won the Black Top and Canberra Cup both from wide draws, but she
the draw around her is suitable," Azzopardi said.
"I was wrapped with My Boy Snoop tonight, he showed what he can do and there is no
reason why he can't do that again in the Final."
The annual series, is named in honour of the late Robert Payne, who served as the NSW
GBOTA Chairman from 1978-1985. The box draw, for the Group 2 Bob Payne is

TERRY AND DIANNE RANSOME MEMORIAL SERIES
Non-Graded over 450m 1-4 wins Heats 1st October 2015 Final 8th October 2015
Terry and Dianne were long serving, well known, active members of the Greyhound industry for over 40 years. Both Terry and Dianne were heavily involved with the GBOTA, both holding executive positions at branch level for many years.
Terry and Dianne moved to the Hunter about 10 years ago after being well known in the Sydney metro area, and quickly assimilated into the Hunter Greyhound fraternity.
Sadly both Terry and Dianne passed away within 4 months of each other after short battles with cancer/illness.
Terry was an exceptional muscle man and strong advocate for greyhound racing who introduced many new participants to the greyhound industry. Terry and Dianne were not afraid to travel with their greyhounds and probably raced and won at every track in New South Wales. Most notably the whole family were regulars at the annual Grafton carnival.
A few of Terry and Dianne’s close friends have got together to arrange the above race series, and with the generosity of some industry businesses’ the prize money for the series will be:
1st $5,000 plus a frozen straw of KEYBOW
2nd $500 plus a $100 voucher to Greyhound Products Direct
3rd $300 plus a $60 voucher from Steve Whalland Race Images.
KEWBOW whilst still racing in top form, running 3rd in this year’s National Sprint Final is a potential superstar sire of the future and we are very grateful to Sires On Ice for their generous support. Anyone thinking of breeding in the near future should take a close look at his record and seriously consider KEYBOW for their bitch’s service. Tony Wiseman owner of Sires On Ice can be contacted on (02)43751001.
