Presenter
Presentation Notes
We have a longstanding partnership with the signatories and supporters of the Global Planners Network. Delta Urbanism is an ongoing partnership with the Dutch and U.S. planners to deal with water, using their expertise in fragile river deltas in the U.S. "Coastal Cities, Hazards, and Climate Change Symposium" is the topic of third Delta Urbanism Symposium, which will be held in conjunction with the 2012 National Planning Conference. Over the course of three days, April 14-16, 2012, speakers from Pacific Rim countries as well as the Netherlands and Italy convene in Los Angeles to explore the latest planning, engineering, and environmental work on this important topic. Nine sessions are complemented by a technology showcase presentation and a Monday-morning plenary, delivered by Michael Machado, Delta Protection Commission, and Dan Ray, Delta Stewardship Council. This program is co-sponsored by the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy.

The International Society of City and regional Planners (ISOCARP) has 875 members and this number has been stable for some time The International Association for Chinese Planners (IACP) has 289 members GPN has 34 members representing 200,000+ members
