THREE TIPS TO PREVENT IMPLEMENTATION ROADBLOCKS AND DELAYS1. Ensure someone is available to accept your shipment of phones and other devices. Typically, your shipment should arrive 5 - 9 business days from order execution.

2. Make sure your network is ready. Review the Network Readiness steps to success (see page 2), and verify your network meets the minimum recommended requirements prior to your implementation date.

3. Ensure you and any other desired points of contact are available for your implementation appointments.

The ANPI VIP Hosted Unified Communications solution is a Voice over IP (VoIP) service that runs over a company's Internet connection, and carries with it specific network requirements. Before you deploy ANPI VIP, we recommend that you check your bandwidth and network setup to ensure you receive the highest quality of service. Our suggested network assessment steps are outlined below and, remember, you can always lean on your ANPI VIP Implementation Specialist to assist you.

1. CONFIRM YOUR INTERNET CONNECTIONWhen making a VoIP phone call, the sound of your voice is broken into thousands of packets. These packets travel various paths along the Internet to the ANPI network, then on to their final destination to be reassembled. Many factors can affect packets on this journey, and thus impact the quality of the call.

2. CHECK YOUR ROUTERThe router connects all your computers and network equipment to your Internet connection. Having a low quality or underperforming router will degrade your call quality. Your router needs to be powerful enough to support the number of phones you have in your office. Consider the following:

• Will your phones have a dedicated Internet connection, or will your phones share traffic with other network functions, such as VPN and Wi-Fi?

• If your phone service shares a connection with network functions, you will need a router with a QoS setting to prioritize voice traffic and avoid poor call quality.

• It is crucial that SIP ALG (Application Layer Gateway) be disabled to ensure proper operation. If you are not sure how to do this, please refer to your network administrator, IT professional or ISP provider.

3. CONFIRM YOUR SWITCH(ES)Ethernet switches are needed to connect your IP phones to your router.

• Check your switch to ensure it has enough ports to support the number of phones you want to enable.• If you do not have a switch, you will need to purchase a sufficiently sized Ethernet switch(es).• Does your switch support Power over Ethernet (PoE)?• If PoE is not supported, you can either replace the switch(es) with one supporting PoE or ensure your phones have

individual power supplies.• Do you have a fax line or alarm system? If so, contact your ANPI VIP Implementation Specialist to ensure your solution

can be properly configured.

4. CHECK YOUR CABLINGFor the best results, phones should be connected to your VoIP-configured router or switch by a cat 5 Ethernet cable. If your local network is more than five years old, or you did not set it up yourself, you may wish to have a cabling or electrical contractor test it to verify you have cat 5 with good connections from end to end.

5. CONNECT YOUR PHONES AND WORKSTATIONSOnce your network is ready, connect your phones to the Ethernet cables, then connect your workstations to the phones. This will ensure that activity of a workstation does not interfere with the voice quality of a phone call.

6. WI-FIIf you have people in your office who will make and take calls using our VIPresence app or another mobile application over Wi-Fi, you need to configure your wireless access points to prioritize voice and media traffic (refer to your access point documentation). Bear in mind that Wi-Fi can be inconsistent, depending on the location of the person with respect to the access point.

IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS

1. Order ServicesYour ANPI VIP Implementation Specialist will initiate the tasks to provision your PBX and order the equipment needed to support your services. You will receive email notifications to confirm the order shipment and include the activation codes needed to activate the devices.

2. LNP Cut Over CallIf porting phone numbers, your ANPI VIP Implementation Specialist will contact you by phone and email with the date in which your existing numbers will be cut over (ported) to your new system.

3. Phone Installation and Activation (Non-Porting RFS date)Your ANPI VIP Implementation Specialist will schedule an installation phone call. If you ordered your phones from ANPI, they will be shipped in advance of this call, and phone activation codes will be supplied via email. During this call, everything will be set up and tested – auto attendant, hunt groups, music on hold, etc. – to make sure your system effectively meets your expectations. If there are no numbers to port (transfer), this step will also be your final test and turn-up. If numbers are being ported from a prior service provider, a subsequent call will be scheduled to coordinate the porting process.

4. TrainingWe will train you and your team on the proper way to use our Customer Administration Portal, and the use of your system features and functionalities. Afterwards, if you need an ANPI VIP refresher course, visit anpi.com/support for videos, quick start guides and more.

Throughout your installation process, you will have an ANPI VIP Implementation Specialist as your single point of contact.
