To Login to the Air Tickets site and to access SmartFares and SmartTickets:

The login section is located on the home page of the Air Tickets website.

1. Go to the ‘Member Login’ section of the Air Tickets website home page www.airtickets.co.nz 2. Enter your ‘Customer Number’ 3. Enter your ‘User Name’ 4. Enter your ‘Password’

Select ‘Remember me’ and the system will remember your password for two weeks.

Enter your Fare Search Criteria

Mandatory Fields (marked with an small orange line ):

1. Enter the ‘From’ city code e.g. AKL. 2. Enter the ‘To’ city code e.g LAX. 3. Click in the ‘Depart’ field, a calendar will open to select the departure date.

Optional Fields:

4. Enter any ‘optional fields’ that you wish to filter your search results with: • Click in ‘Return’ a calendar will open for you to select the return date from • ‘Return’ is set as a default, change to ‘One Way’ if applicable • The ‘Cabin’ defaults to Economy, click on the drop down arrow and select an alternative

class if required e.g. Business • Select an ‘Airline Alliance’ from the drop down arrow to only display fares belonging to an

alliance group e.g. Oneworld • You may enter up to three ‘Preferred Airlines’ codes to only display certain airlines e.g. MH • ‘Stopovers’- Enter up to two stopover city codes to only view fares that allow these

stopovers. 5. Select the + icon to reveal additional ‘Advanced Options’ to further filter your fare results:

• Enter a number of days in the ‘Max Stay’ field to exclude fares valid for longer than these days

• Enter a ‘Max Price’ to set a price cap e.g. enter 2000 and fares higher than $2000 will not be displayed

• Tick ‘Single Carrier’ field to only display single carrier fares e.g. 100% Qantas • Tick ‘Smart Ticket fares Only’ to only display fares that can be issued online • Tick ‘Show Net?’ field to see the Net fares in addition to the gross fares • Enter a ‘Mark Up’ amount either in dollars, or as a percentage, to add your mark up onto the

fare price 6. Select ‘Search’ to return matching fares.

Fares matching your search criteria are displayed.

Fare table columns:

• Airline – The carrier the fare belongs to • Departures – Date from which travel can commence and the last date that travel may commence • Adult Fare – The cost of the fare, taxes and the total of fare and taxes. • Min/Max – minimum stay away before the return flight may commence and the maximum stay

away before the return flight commences • Class – The fare booking class. Note: The booking class shown is an indication only and generally

taken from the first outbound flight. It is still required that you check the fare sheet for the correct booking class for your particular segments.

• Purchase By – This column may include the last ticketing date • Reference – Fare Sheet reference

Save This Search – Saves your search criteria in a ‘Library’ to easily re-run the search again later Show Premium – Filter the results to display premium (generally higher commission) carriers only Modify Search – Return to the Fare Search screen to modify your search criteria and re-run the search

Select the icon to view a ‘mini’ rules pop up and to view the routing used for the tax shown

Click on your preferred fare to view the full fare details.

Fare sheet information is filtered to display information matching your criteria.

• ‘Save Fare Sheet’ – Save the fare sheet in a library for your future reference (see page 6) • ‘Back to Results’ – Return to the fare results page to select an alternative fare. • ‘Show All Fares’ – Expands the fare sheet to display all seasons, and all fare levels, including those

that did not match your search criteria

The fare Conditions are collapsed.

Click on a heading to expand and view information. For example, we have expanded the ‘Application and other conditions’ heading. Alternatively, select the ‘Expand/Collapse All’ link to expand all conditions.

Fare searches, and fare sheets, can be saved in a library for your personal reference, and to receive automatic fare change and expiry notifications.

A ‘Previous Searches’ drop down list is located above the fare search criteria. This allows you to select, and re-run, any search that conducted from ‘the current day only’

To Save a Fare Search Permanently:

1. Select the ‘Save This Search’ from the Fare Results page (pg. 4). You will be prompted to enter a name for the search.

2. To run the search again later, select the search form the ‘Saved Libraries’ menu (located above the search criteria) and all previous criteria will be automatically populated. You can still modify the criteria to reflect new dates etc.

To Save a Fare Sheet:

1. Select the ‘Save Fare Sheet’ button from a fare sheet (pg. 5) 2. To view the fare sheet later, select the fare sheet from the ‘Saved Libraries’ drop down menu.

To receive automatic fare change notifications, and expiry reminders, on a saved fare sheet:

1. Save a Fare Sheet using the above instructions. 2. Select the ‘Library’ link from the blue menu bar. 3. A new page will display, select the ‘Saved Fares’ tab to see fare sheets you have saved. 4. Select the ‘Notify’ checkbox next to the fare. 5. Select ‘Modify’ and you will begin receiving automatic notification for that fare sheet.

Note: You may use the ‘Delete’ button to remove the fare sheets, and fare searches, from your library

You may enter a page reference to quickly retrieve a page, for example, enter the fare sheet reference and

select the magnifying glass icon.

Various pages indexes exist for you to browse including airpass indexes, BSR & ROE indexes, indexes of fares by airlines and city, and round the world fares etc.

Latest Fares

The ‘Latest Fares’ link, on the blue menu bar, simply contains a list of fares most recently loaded and new fares due for ‘loading’. The latest ‘fares loaded’ will automatically be returned in your fare searches. The ‘fares

loading’ will not be returned in your fare searches until they are loaded.

Commissions

To view airline commissions levels:

1. Select the ‘Commissions’ tab from the blue menu bar. 2. Begin typing the airline code in the ‘Select an Airline’ field. 3. Press ‘Enter’ on your keyboard or click ‘Go’ 4. Commission levels display. Y stands for economy class, J for business class and F for first class.

Customise Options for Consultants/Managers: The ‘Customise’ link allows you to set certain Fare Search fields to automatically default to your own personal settings. 1. Select the ‘Customise’ tab from the blue menu bar. 2. Various search fields are available to set including the ‘origin city’, up to three ‘preferred carriers’, to ‘show the net fare’ in addition to the gross fare, set a ‘preferred airline alliance’ and set a standard ‘mark up’ by dollars or percentage. Note: You may still override these on the Airfare Search screen

Additional Customise Options for Agency Managers: Agency Managers can also set the following default Fare Search entries for the whole agency, in addition to personalising their Fares Search screen using the above instructions.

• Enter a dollar or percentage amount in the ‘Mark Up’ field, then deselect the ‘Can Modify Mark Up’ check box and all consultants will automatically have this mark up apply as the default in their fare search

• Selecting ‘Mark up above gross’ will allow consultants to mark up the fare above the gross price • Enter an amount in the ‘number of days before fare expires’ field and fares due to expire within

these days are highlighted on the fare results page with a red ‘expiring’ warning

Select ‘Save’ to set your customised search default options.
