The IAL for track gauge of the front part of the crossing section (if it’s not movable) for diverging branches of switches with a local speed up to 40 km/h is equal to a nominal value of +12 or -7 mm.

• Judgement of data quality and switch quality cannot be split up• The judgement of safety of a switch can and must be done on a much more intelligent way with continuous data

• New norms are needed for loaded switch measurements
