Welcome to Falkirk Storytelling Festival 2019.Taking place in venues across the heart of Falkirk town centre, the Festival has its roots in storytelling but reaches out to cover music and performance as well as spoken word.

Back to discuss his updated book ‘How Your Mind Can Heal Your Body’. Covering the latest cutting edge information and extraordinary visualisation strategies to enhance sporting performance, and facilitate recovery rom injury, illness and disease.
* School Events will be aimed at the school children attending but members of the public are welcome to come along and join us.

Join author Victoria Williamson for an interactive exploration of the characters and issues in The Boy with the Butterfly Mind. Ages 10-11 yrs.

Falkirk Storytelling Festival welcomes Scottish singer-songwriter, Katee Kross, to Falkirk Trinity. Katee has already worked with some top names including Dougie MacLean, Barbara Dickson, Karine Polwart, James Grant, John Doyle, Findlay Napier, Tony McManus and Seasick Steve.

INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS – Next to JD Sports
11am - Natural History Workshop, Bones, Teeth & Fossils. You’ve heard of Dinosaurs & the Loch Ness Monster, Dragons and the giant Megalodon shark. Get up close & personal with real specimens in this interactive learning experience.
12pm – Live art demonstration from The Art of Fish. Watch our artist create magical fire breathing dragons from blank canvas to a finished masterpiece. Suggest your favourite scenes for the dragons to be painted into and name the dragons!
1pm - Fantastic Beasts Workshop. Explore the magical world of Griffins, Unicorns and Phoenix & Dragons before creating your own mini magical creature to take home.
2pm - Greek Mythology. Magic galore as we explore the power of the Gods & their creatures. Find your own magic and turn yourself into a God or mythical beast with stories and masks.
3pm- Learn to draw fantastic beasts and mythical creatures with The Art of Fish live art workshop.
TREASURE HUNT – next to Fruit & Veg stall
Fantastic beasts treasure hunt with newt Scamander and his magical case.
CRAFT ZONE – Visit our mythical creatures craft zone next to Chisholm Hunter.
GAME OF THRONES EXHIBITION – Next to Poundland
Explore the replica props including prop swords, shields and battle weapons. Have your photo taken on the Iron Throne with our Arya Stark cosplayer.
Have your photo taken with the Cosplayers and our walk around dragon puppets and phoenix from fantastic beasts.

ABOUT THE FESTIVALEach of the events taking place are organised either by the venues themselves or by the organisations mentioned under each individual event. If you have any questions relating to a specific event, please contact the event organisers or the venue direct.
Please note that with the exception of the Howgate and the Trinity Church which are fully accessible, a number of the venues are located on upper floors of traditional buildings which do not have lifts. If you have special access requirements please contact the individual event organisers direct.
