1. Fill in online registration form

2. Attend Umpire Accreditation night

3. Complete ‘AFL Club Umpire Program’• Bring certificate of completion to Accreditation Night• If still online issues – send copy of certificate to Amanda Beet

when attained

Spirit of the LawsIt is the Spirit and the intention of the Laws of AustralianFootball (L.O.A.F) that a free kick shall be awarded to:

Ensure that a match is played in a fair manner; Provide to a player, who makes obtaining possession of

the football his or her sole objective, every opportunity togain possession;

Protect players from sustaining injury; and A player who executes a correct (modified) tackle that

results in an opponent failing to dispose of the football inaccordance with these laws.

Club Volunteer Umpires are a match official of the CLUB TEAM. No different to the Coach,

Assistant Coach, Runner, Trainer, Umpire Escort etc.

So ALL communication (including questions) must be directed to the Team Manager and/or

Club Secretary. Not the SMJFL Umpiring Department.
