Originally hailing from Texas, the 25-year-old

singer/actress’s first big appearance was at the

age of 10 on the children’s television series Barney

& Friends. She later got her first taste of stardom

when her very own show (Wizards of Waverly

Place) became a huge hit on the Disney Channel

in 2007. This eventually led to star roles in feature

films including Ramona and Beezus (2010), Monte

Carlo (2011) and Spring Breakers (2013).

In 2013, Gomez released her first solo album, Stars Dance, which debuted at the top of the Billboard

200 charts in the U.S. Since then, she’s released

another solo album, Revival, embarked on two

headlining tours and gone on to sell 7 million

albums and 22 million singles worldwide.

Today, the award-winning actress/singer is the

most followed celebrity on Instagram (she has 124

million followers!). She is also known for her high-

profile romance with singer the Weeknd. Gomez

has also moved behind the scenes becoming the

executive producer of Netflix’s hit show 13 Reasons

Why. She is also increasingly becoming known for

her charity work, including partnering with the

Coach Foundation to support Step Up and its

initiatives to help teenage girls in underserved

communities.
