e create products that meet the needs of our customers – solutions that you’re unable to

get from anyone else.

To us, the “Voice of the Customer” is most important, and listening is the key to providing optimal solutions. We listen carefully to understand your challenges and opportunities as well as your unique business model and product portfolio.

To better understand your needs, we are collaborating with Strategex, a consulting firm focused on understanding customer perceptions and needs to increase satisfaction.

As part of this process we have conducted an in-depth survey that includes interviews with customers across select business functions.

You may have already heard from them and participated in this process. If so, thank you for taking time to provide insights. We are looking forward to getting the results of this research. It will make us a better, more innovative, more focused partner.

Your voice guides everything we do – now and in the future. It extends well beyond addressing your needs and solving your problems of the moment. It means trying to predict how you might want to innovate in the future. And getting ahead of those trends.

We will continue to listen with a focus on providing innovative products and excellent service. Thank you again for participating.

ream. Believe. Achieve. It’s how we grow at Deceuninck North America. Over the past five years, we have our commitment

to service excellence, innovation and sustainability has helped us grow along with our customers.

In acknowledgment of this company-wide success, Cincy Magazine has recognized Deceuninck as a 2018 Manny Award winner for Top Growth. Now in its 12th year, the Manny Award honors the best in Tristate manufacturing across Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. This is the third consecutive year that Deceuninck has won the top growth award.

D The latest win comes as the company’s 2017 sales notched double-digit growth of 11 percent (year-over-year) to almost $145.8 million spurred by strong business development, operational investments and the rollout of innovative products. A strong contributor to that was a 17 percent growth rate in window and door system sales.

“Deceuninck is honored to receive a Manny Award for Top Growth,” said Filip Geeraert, president and CEO, Deceuninck North America.

DECEUNINCK NORTH AMERICA

THREEPEATS AS MANNY AWARD WINNER ith the cost of aluminum recently

reaching a six-year high – Innergy® Rigid Thermal Reinforcements

provide a cost-effective solution that avoids the pricing volatility.

Deceuninck’s advanced fiberglass reinforced resin inserts are designed to slide easily into energy-efficient window and door frame chambers for greater support and insulation.

The result is a more energy-efficient system with all the strength and structural reinforcement of aluminum, but with a new set of high-performance benefits.

• Better thermal performance – up to 700 times better than aluminum in material-to-material comparisons

• Better thermal break – impervious to cold or heat

• Better protection against condensation – helps prevent staining that can occur with metal reinforcements

• Better impact testing – resistance to impact versus other reinforcement products

The same technology that made Innergy® reinforcements successful is used in our window mullions. Designed to fit a range of standard Deceuninck window systems, the

W mullions can be used in multiple configurations, including twins and transoms. The technology also provides increased condensation resistance due to the thermal performance of Rovex.

Making the switch from aluminum to Innergy is simplified by Innergy’s structural test waivers, which usually mean no additional testing is needed.

Visitors to our Monroe facility are now welcomed by a unique flower installation that combines of beauty and function. The SmartFlower® is a photovoltaic solar gathering system that tracks the sun’s movement from dawn to dusk using GPS to optimize solar collection.

S The SmartFlower produces approximately 3,800-6,200 kWh per year. At that level of output, the SmartFlower may serve as a recharging station for electric vehicles. Interestingly, the SmartFlower is designed to protect itself from heavy winds, and its self-cleaning functionality is ideal for automatically removing snow before it builds up during the day.

“The SmartFlower’s unique design and solar power generation is a visible symbol of

ith more than 800 exhibitors, the international Fensterbau show proved yet again why it is a must-attend

event. With 1 million square feet of exhibition space to cover, there were a lot of interesting insights. Following are a few highlights:

W • AUTOMATION - The range of equipment and automation on display was fascinating. European windows are standardized, which in turn makes fabrication automation simpler to execute.

• TECH FORWARD - The tilt-and-turn design common in Europe also lends itself well to Internet of Things applications as well as integration of digitalization in windows to function in smart homes.

• HIGH PERFORMANCE - With a focus on a decades-long life cycle, European windows are built with an even greater emphasis on energy efficiency, thermal performance and sound mitigation.

• COLOR EVERYWHERE - The European market continues to grow its colorful array of products. A plain white window no longer cuts it. Vibrant and dynamic colors are starting to dominate the market.

While not everything at the show was directly relevant to the U.S. market, experiencing these advances first-hand has sparked creative ideas and may fuel future innovation.

WE’LL BE BACK AGAIN IN 2020!
