Highlights include performances from the likes of Florence and the Machine, Pendulum, will.i.am, Ed Sheeran, Chase and Status, Frank Turner and Enter Shikari, to name just a few. The Forum Hertfordshire Main Room (Auditorium) Spread over two floors, the Auditorium is the largest room at the Forum Hertfordshire. Its large, purpose-built stage has played host to many big name acts and with a sound and lighting system among the best in the country for a venue of its size, this space creates a truly powerful atmosphere for all our live music and club night events. EleHouse The EleHouse is your student pub on campus! Come along and enjoy our relaxed atmosphere, where you can find a great range of food and drink served daily. Style Bar Find the Style Bar on the first floor of the Forum Hertfordshire, where our funky yet contemporary design creates an airy and relaxed atmosphere. The Style Bar offers a more sophisticated experience with a range of premium wines, beers, cocktails and contemporary food. Attic The Attic is our ‘mini-club’ found on the second floor of the Forum Hertfordshire. Containing a high quality sound and lighting system and stage, the Attic is a more intimate space with a big atmosphere. Freshers’ Passes are just £50 and will give you entry* to all Freshers’ week evening events, including the Freshers’ Ball, giving you a great saving on overall ticket prices! Valid from 21/09/13 to 28/09/13. Student Housing We are completely dedicated to student lettings. We offer a friendly, professional and FREE service and we screen all our houses to make sure our students only get the best of what’s on offer. Athletic Union The Athletic Union, based on the de Havilland campus is the place to go if you would like to join a university sports club or teams. Supporting students of all sporting abilities from beginner to elite performer. Student Skills Training Free student-led professional skills training. Boost your employability, as well as your personal and social skills by signing up to our free courses. Student Reps Students are elected from each programme at the start of term. Your Student Representative works together with UH staff and your Students’ Union to ensure you get the best uni experience possible. To become a student representative or to find out who yours is, speak to your programme lecturer. Societies Joining a society is a great way to make new friends with common interests and simply have a whole lot of fun. RAG Every year, students choose several charities they would like to raise money for. We then support and help UH students raise as much money as possible for these chosen charities. Advice Service We provide free confidential advice and support to all students on issues ranging from housing, finances, academic and appeals and even legal affairs. Union Shops Our College Lane campus shop (in the Forum) and our de Havilland campus shop (by the Accommodation Office) stock a unique range of products including UH branded clothing, snacks, sandwiches, stationery and much more! Student Media Bringing you all the latest student news via our radio station – Crush Radio, TV station – Union TV and newspaper – Universe. Student Media is run by students for students. Student Jobs Looking for a job while you’re at uni? We can help – we have hundreds of part-time and temporary job opportunities available to work around your schedule. Volunteering From painting a nursing home to helping out at a school we have a range of opportunities to suit your interests. Not only is volunteering incredibly fulfilling, but it looks great on your CV.
