What Is Robotics?What Is Robotics?

It’s a program specifically designed for middle school students in grades 6 through 9. Students are introduced to the world of robotics in a fun and friendly manner. It teaches students how to build small robots and learn basic programming to control robots using “Smart Technology”. It’s the largest urban research-based middle grades’ robotics program in the country.

PurposePurposeThe School District of Philadelphia

robotics program focuses on intergrading math, science, and technology. It deals with the design, construction, and operation of robots.

This program helps students explore and expand their awareness of possible career opportunities. It encourages computer programming development, creative thinking,

leadership, and reasoning skills.
