Challenges for Providers-Employers
We know employers value the qualifications:
• They want to provide training and development opportunities for staff
• They see the main benefits as increased employee satisfaction, motivation and retention
HOWEVER:
Engagement for some employers, can be passive rather than active:• Training is the job of the provider – done by someone else• Willing to sign paperwork but not to take time out to review the
learners progress with training provider staff
Challenges for Providers-Employers
In a recent JHP survey, learners were asked....
Do you agree with the following statement ?
“ My employer is involved in my training programme.....”
We asked those who respond negatively to this question,
how they would like their employer to be more involved:– 48% said “Taking an interest in work I Produce”
– 44% said “Supporting with the completion of work between visits”
– 27% “Meeting with my assessor when he/she visits”
Challenges for Providers-Employers
