Members, advisors, and leaders of Florida HOSA, welcome back! I am excited and ready to share another year filled with exciting memories, life lessons, and success with you all. As our summer comes to a close, it is time to get back in the swing of things! Florida HOSA, the 2019 - 2020 HOSA year is here! I am currently a freshman at the University of South Florida, pursuing medicine on the 7-year track. While I have yet to figure out my specific area of interest, I have my heart set on becoming a doctor. I hope to use my knowledge to work as a physician, and towards the latter half of my career, solve a pertinent issue as an entrepreneur in that area of medi-cine. Aside from my career interests, I have been active with pursuing my other passions. During this summer, I’ve taken time to grow vastly in the areas of photography, videography, and dance! I really look forward to implementing everything I have learned from last year to keep building on the success of Florida HOSA! Each and every experience, win or lose, has helped mold me into a more persistent, ambitious, and well-rounded individual. Likewise, I implore you to take a minute to reflect on the past year, identify areas for growth, and prepare to surpass all limits as we kick off the 2019 - 2020 HOSA year! It is truly an honor to serve you for one more year! Thank you for every-thing, and I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Varsha Katoju State President - Elect

I am currently a senior at C. Leon King High School. I am honored to serve on your State team, so thank you for believing in me by electing me to this position. Please understand that for me, it is not just a position, but a new responsibility that I plan to take complete advantage of. You have instilled your trust in this State Officer Team to improve upon this magnifi-cent organization, and I promise that is just what we will do! For me, generosity and kindness are two qualities I have admired from a young age. It is not a coincidence that the members of Florida HOSA encom-pass those qualities. I recognize that becoming a health professional is a passion that I share with the 16,000 Florida HOSA members, so it is our duty as State Officers to build bridges that will help you fuel that passion. Don’t be afraid to dream big; I did, and look where that's gotten me so far! I love you, Florida HOSA, and I am so excited for what’s in store!

Welcome Back, HOSA!

Florida HOSA! It is my honor to be able to welcome each and

every one of you back to another thrill-packed year! The time of year

has come again where we will be able to Define Your Purpose and

create many amazing memories.

I am honored to be welcomed back to the State Officer Team

this year, to serve every one of you. This past year was fantastic, and

we achieved a lot as a team. I am excited to continue our journey and

see how much we can achieve together as one unit.

As a State Officer, I am always looking for ways to improve and

aid our organization as it grows. One of my personal goals for this year

is going to be keeping our members up to date through social media.

Another goal of mine is to work with local colleges in North Florida to

spread the word of HOSA and get more collegiate schools on board.

I don’t know about you all, but the beginning of the school year is

always the best for me because I look forward to re-inventing my HOSA

experiences. As this year is off to a great start, I want to remind each

one of you if you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to

reach out to me. I would love to help and get to know you all.

Welcome back, Florida HOSA! I’m ecstatic as we commence

the 2019 - 2020 academic and HOSA year! It seems like yesterday

that we had ILC and summer started, but here we are! Back for

another outstanding year! Are you all ready? If not, get ready - and

buckle up! We’re ready to jumpstart our new HOSA year! As you may

or may not know, my name is Noel and I am a freshman in college

attending the University of South Florida (GO BULLS!) majoring in

Public Health. Hopefully I can become a Public Health Administrator.

Just as I’m beginning this new journey at USF, I’m beginning one here

with you all!

Thank you, Florida HOSA, for re-electing me as your State

Southern Vice-President, Secondary. As we embark on our journey

this year, let’s make memories that are sure to last! This is my 5th

year being a part of this great organization and I wish that we make

this, yet again, one for the books! Like I said last year - Florida HOSA

breaks records! Let’s make this year great!

Neha Dantuluri Northern Vice-President,

Sec.

Joshua Hanlon Parliamentarian

What an amazing summer 2019 brought us! I hope all of you had a prosperous and rejuvenating summer just as I did. This upcoming school year is going to be a memorable one for all of us; I can just feel it! FLDA is right around the corner, and don’t get me started on WLA! I hope you are all buckled up, because the State Officers are working to make this year as enjoyable as possible! I hope all of you will join in on the fun and development we have planned! I am currently starting my third year at the University of Central Florida studying Biomedical Sciences. This will be my fifth year in HOSA, but somehow every year is sweeter than the last one! I may be a little older than the average HOSA member, but I encourage members of all ages to get involved as much as possible because you are never too old to encourage and help others! I want to say thank you for giving me the privilege to serve as a State Officer this school year; I plan to get to know every one of you. Thank you, Florida HOSA, and let’s make this year one for the ages.

Never Give Up! Where did time go? It seems like summer started yesterday. Hello, Florida HOSA, and welcome to the newest school year! I am beyond excited and honored to serve as a State Officer! Currently, I am a senior at King High School in the IB program. Even though I do not attend a health-science oriented high school, HOSA has been an integral part of my academic journey and future endeavors. For college, I plan to embark on the pre-med track to later become a physician. I’m not completely sure what specialty I want to pursue, but I have a few in mind. No matter what, I love helping others and giving back to my community! For the past 3 years, HOSA has shaped me into a better student, leader, and future health professional. My main goal for this year is to uphold the legacy of Florida HOSA by continuing to give back to the

organization that has given me so much. Florida HOSA, you are amazing, talented, and bright. At the last SLC, I affirmed

that Florida HOSA was great. But let’s become greater than ever before! Don’t be afraid to take the next step. Reach for your goals, hold your head high, and use this next year to empower and expand your future! Members, don’t forget to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. I am looking forward to seeing what all of you will accomplish this upcoming year! Let’s make this next year the best yet!
