Independent studies on parent involvement have shown that when parents get involved their children’s education grades go up and test scores improve. The best way to be involved is to be “in the know” and sign up for our monthly eNewsletter. Some current and active volunteering opportunities are:

Westside Elementary School TerraCycle Program!
TerraCycle upcycles and recycles traditionally non-recyclable waste (including cereal bags, chip bags, tooth brushes, etc.) into a large variety of consumer products. These products keep waste out of our landfills and contribute to a cleaner world. Recycling containers are available at schoolfor convenient drop-off and for each item you collect, TerraCycle makes a donation to Westside.
Our student, staff & parent “Green Team” is seeking volunteers to help sort & ship the items
Mondays at 8:10am-8:30. Please only send in the items listed BELOW. Post this flyer on your refrigerator for easy reference.
For more information contact Marianne Brevard: 541.400.0135TerraCycle begins Monday September 28th, 2015 8:10-8:30 AM.
Set a family goal of 5-10 items a week!!!
