In the weeks leading up to Christmas, we will learn the answers to the Questions of Christmas and how they connect to our personal lives. Is the miraculous really possible? How can I be sure? Why would God favor me? What will this child (John the Baptist) grow up to be? During our Advent series, we will light candles of hope, peace, joy, and love to honor our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. The Night Before Christmas Services* Saturday, December 24 Christmas Eve Contemporary Worship • 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. • Sanctuary These worship services will feature children’s choirs, a message by Rev. Tracey Bianchi, and a presentation from our Contemporary worship band. *Childcare is available for children under 4. Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship • 7:00, 9:00, 11:00 p.m. Sanctuary Settle into the majesty of this night by candlelight with our magnificent choir and orchestra and receive an inspiring message from Rev. Dr. Dan Meyer, who will share the good news of Christmas. *Childcare is available for children under 4, except at 11:00 p.m. Christmas Day “One Church” Service Sunday, December 25, 10:45 a.m. • Sanctuary Celebrate the newborn King with a combined service in the Sanctuary for one hour only. There will be no services at 9:00am or 6:00pm on Christmas Day. New Year’s Day Services Sunday, January 1 • 10:45 a.m. • Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall Ring in the new year with regular Classic and Contemporary services for one hour only. There will be no New Year’s Eve service on Saturday, December 31 at 5:00 p.m. and no services at 9:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m. on New Year’s Day. Videos feature interviews with leading authors, counselors, and pastors with years of expertise in grief recovery. A $15 fee is required for the GriefShare workbook, available in the Christ Church bookstore or at group meetings. Ken has faithfully served Christ Church for 18 years in Pastoral Care and is beloved not only by our sta, but by everyone who has been cared for by this amazing man of God. Pacific Garden Mission needs your help in organizing the holiday meal and the Christmas celebration for the residents of Pacific Garden Mission, located at 1458 S Canal St, in Chicago.
