Monday Night Ladies Bible StudyJoin us for “Divine Design: 40 Days of Spiritual Makeover.” Author, Sharla Fritz will lead us through a different

kind of transformation~an alteration of attitude. We will begin this 8-week journey on Monday, February 8,

7:00 p.m. and by God’s grace you will experience a spiritual makeover that will transform your heart. Please

LentLent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 10. Join us for a Fish Fry dinner sponsored by the

Youth, 5:00-6:15 in the Lower Fellowship Hall. Please sign up at the table in the lobby this

morning so they have enough food! Then join us for our Contemporary Service in the

Worship Center at 6:15 p.m. and our Traditional Service in the life|story room at 6:40 p.m.

Also, during our mid-week Lenten services at the La Vista Site, there will be designated

parking spots in front of the main entrance. These will be reserved with signs saying “Senior

Citizen or Special Needs Parking.” Many who attend the later traditional service would

greatly benefit from not having to park a great distance from that entrance. We thank you

in advance for being considerate for those whom this would make a great difference

during these winter months.

L.I.F.T.Our next outing will be on Wednesday, February 10, 11:00 a.m. at the La Vista Community Center.

We will be attending their annual Senior Valentine Luncheon. We will meet at the center at 11:00

a.m. and lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. with entertainment following. Cost is $5 per person and

RSVP’s with money are needed by Tuesday, February 2. Call Karen Wollberg (402-884-6777) to RSVP

or with questions.

Early Communion Seder MealAll children and their parents in 4 grade and those in confirmation who haven’t attendedth

a meal yet, are invited to the next Seder Meal on Sunday, March 6, 5:00 p.m. in the Lower

Fellowship Hall at the La Vista Site. There will also be a follow-up Bible study on

Wednesday, March 9, 7:30 p.m. in the Lower Fellowship Hall. Cost of the meal is $11 per

person and RSVP is requested by Sunday, February 21. Please contact Pastor Jim (402-331-

Lenten DevotionsThe Lenten Devotions titled “Love’s Greatest Sacrifice” from Lutheran Hour Ministries are available at

the tables in the back. These devotions are also available online (www.lhm.org/lent) to read, listen

to or have emailed to you daily.

PenniesSharon Odom is collecting pennies at a table in the lobby to make crosses to hand

out on Easter Sunday. All extra pennies will be used to support our Costa Rica Mission and the

Building Fund. Please stop by the table today and donate all those extra pennies!!

Health MinistryWe will again be participating in Jerusalem Journey towards better health during the upcoming Lenten season.

Sign up today in the Information Center. We will begin walking TODAY and hopefully make it to Jerusalem in

time for Easter.

Preschool RegistrationAre you looking for a spiritually driven, academically sound, socially directed and licensed preschool? Kidnect

Preschool has open registration for the 2016-2017 school year. We have a Tue/Thu class

for 3 year olds; a Mon/Wed/Fri class and Mon-Fri class for 4 & 5 year olds. New this year,

all classes will be expanded, running from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. Please contact Pam Prazan

Peace International Friendship CenterThe Peace International Friendship Center is in need of recreational items for its outreach to

Muslims and others in the Omaha area. Items needed are: ping-pong table, foosball table,

Lydia HouseAngela Peasley Watt has organized a group of women who go down to the Lydia House on the

3 Saturday of the month to minister to the women and children living there. Their next visit isrd

scheduled for Saturday, February 20, 9:00-11:00 a.m. They are in need of donations for snacks,

Concordia GalaCelebrate Christian education with Concordia Schools at the 10 Annual Concordia Gala on Friday, March 4,th
