Good Work Certificates
Teddy has been very busy this week receiving lots of lovely letters and pictures
from the children.
He is getting more independent and has learnt to jump up onto chairs. He now has a new ’comfy spot’ on Mrs Hillyard’s office sofa!
Teddy is supporting the Poppy Appeal with a reflective poppy on
his collar, ready for autumn walks.
He has also been admiring the Scarecrows that have been brought into school for the Scarecrow Festival.

Please see the attached flyer about our Local History Week where we will be commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Coventry Blitz.
We are asking the children on Monday 11th November to wear World War Two outfits, e.g. evacuees, officers, land girls.
Children in Year One and Year Two will be walking to St Giles church on Monday for a special Remembrance Service
Harvest Assembly & Scarecrows!
Scarecrow Festival Thanks to everyone who came to our Harvest Assembly & Scarecrow
Festival. We had a great collection for Bedworth Foodbank and Rev. Gail from St Giles Church and Angela from the Foodbank joined our
celebrations.
We had an amazing collection of scarecrows, some funny, some scare, some big, some small but all were brilliant and lots of hard work had gone into
making them.
Some photos are included at the back of the newsletter, look out for more on Schudio and our
website, along with the details of the winners.
Thanks to everyone who joined in!
Local History Week
Please return your photo consents as soon as possible, to ensure that your child can
have their school photo taken on: Thursday 14th November.
Without your specific consent, your child will not have a school photo taken.
URGENT! Photo Consents
Flu Immunisations
On Tuesday 5th November Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children will have an
opportunity to receive a free flu immunisation nasal spray.
Letters have been sent home.
It is important that you return your form to the school office even if you do not consent
for your child to participate.
If you do not consent, feedback is greatly appreciated by the School Health Team as it
gives them parental views and opinions.
All children returning the form either
giving or not giving consent, will receive a funky penguin
sticker!
Teacher Training Day
We break up today for our Half Term holiday. We are closed next week and also
on Monday 4th November for a Teacher Training Day.
School, Nursery & Pre-School reopen on
Tuesday 5th November.
On Monday we had a very successful Health & Safety Inspection from Warwickshire's WES
Safety & Premises Team.
This was a rigorous inspection of the whole site and buildings.
Well done for helping keep our site safe for everyone
using our school.
Health & Safety Visit
Hello & Goodbye
We have said goodbye this week to Mrs Jan who has
worked in Nursery, School and Pre-School. We shall miss her and wish her well for the future.
We would like to say hello to Mrs Khatoon. She has joined us
as our new Year 1 Teaching Assistant and
Midday Supervisor.
Welcome to our School!
Goodbye
Miss Ruddock, in Daisy Class teacher, is moving on to a new job at a different
school in January. We shall be very sorry to see her go but wish her well. We are delighted to confirm that we have an excellent teacher lined-up to start in January. Mrs Hunter is an experienced teacher, who has worked with us at Exhall Cedars before. We look forward to welcoming her back. She
will be working closely with the Y2 team in December to ensure a smooth transition for
the children.
Playground Markings
You may have noticed the team working on the playground in all weathers this week. They have been repainting our playground markings. What a great job they have done! They children are all very pleased and looking forward to some nice
autumn weather to make the most of them.
This was paid for by a Healthy Pupils Grant from Warwickshire County
Council, funded by the levy on the soft-drinks industry.
