Today’s task: You are going to be other people who have visited The Crow’s

Nest and add your own comments underneath your original review.

These will need to be in a more informal voice to show that you as a writer

Why do we publish work?

• It gives our writing a purpose.

• It gives the audience the opportunity to see all the

different genres and styles we can write in.

• It shows how much we have improved over time.

• An audience can read and appreciate the time and

effort it took to write it.

• Others can be inspired by it and begin to use

vocabulary they have learned from our writing in

their own work.

How shall I publish my work?

There are many ways you can choose to publish your work:

Hand write it in your best

handwriting to show your

presentation skills.

Type it up on the computer to

show your keyboard skills.

Create a PowerPoint to show your

computing skills.

Read it out and get a friend to video it

to show your speaking and listening

skills.

Take a few minutes to think which one shows off

your work and skills the best or choose a different

way if you have another idea.
