Dear Faithful Parishioners, This past week, we were honored to be part of Project Hero in Salinas where 150 Wounded Warriors and First Responders drove bikes past our school as we cheered them on waving flags and shouting “thank you for all you do!” I watched our students proudly as they represented us in uniform in the most wonderful way. I am so proud to be part of the Sacred Heart School community and parish and again say thank you for your continued support of our school! There are many reasons why a Catholic education is important… I’d like to share my favorites:

• We teach our students about service to others especially those less fortunate. • We set high standards for our students, both academically and faith based. • We prepare our students to be good students and good citizens. • We offer a safe and welcoming environment. • Our staff and parents partner together for the faith formation of our students. • And, did you know that 99% of Catholic School students graduate from high school and 85% go on to graduate from college?

With your generosity on the 5th Sunday collection, you help children achieve these and many other life long skills. God bless you for your support of Sa-cred Heart School and, as always, I invite you to come visit us anytime…we would love to give you a tour! Blessings in Christ, Connie Rains, Principal
