Thankyou for taking the time to read our newsletter…….. We have had a super busy last couple of weeks and the staff and myself are looking forward to the holi- day break. I am sure that the students are also! Last week we hosted the Brigalow Athletics Carnival and I would like to take the opportunity to thank every- one for their support in or- ganising and running this day. A special mention to Anna, Teriena, Kim, Jo, Hayley and Jacque for all of the extra organising they per- formed behind the scenes ensuring that the day ran as smoothly as possible. Also a special mention to all of the families in the community that sent in baking in order for a shared morning tea for our cluster schools. The feedback that I re- ceived from all of the schools, staff and parents was extremely positive and that they had a great day! One of the best carnivals they have been too! This week was Annas last week as our Business Manag- er. She is finally getting to en- joy her Long Service Leave for Term 3 after over 8 years of service. We can not thank Anna enough for her endless dedi- cation to Valkyrie State School and the students. She will be missed but I am sure we will see her in and out of the school relishing being a Mumand supporting Jo in the new role of Business Manager. Over the school holidays there will be a lot of work being com- pleted on the infrastructure of the school. We will also have the pest control here in the first week. A big thankyou to all of the families for attending parent teacher interviews. Report cards were all sent home on Tuesday. Finally, I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday and I look forward to seeing you all back on Monday 12 July 2021. Have a great holiday! We all had a wonderful time at the Brigalow Sports Carnival. It was so much fun to celebrate the awesome sportsmanship amongst the schools.
