• Reading – Unit 2 Test ”The Alvin Alley Kids” Summarizing by identifying the main ideas of a story, antonyms and synonyms, using a thesaurus

• English – past tense verbs• Social Studies – rural, urban and suburban communities,

using a compass rose, compare and contrast communities of the past to today’s communities.

• Handwriting – We begin cursive writing next week - lower case e

Reminders:

1. We really enjoyed our trip to the McKinley Museum. We are looking forward to our Music field trip on the 12th.

2. Students should have at least five hours of reading on their reading log by December 7th. Please encourage your child to read aloud to you and discuss the book together.
