When he was young people called him the “Plant Doctor”. 6. He invented over 300 uses for peanuts.7. Agriculture is the study of plants and farming.8. George Washington Carver developed ideas about crop rotation. 9. He gave advice about agriculture to farmers.10. Carver taught farmers how to protect and care for their soil.

Science: Solids to Liquids/Liquids to Solids

1. By heating, you can change a solid to a liquid. 2. By cooling, you can change a liquid to a solid. 3. When you add heat to a solid, it can melt. 4. Chocolate will melt into a liquid when heat is added. 5. If you take enough heat from a liquid, it may freeze. 6. Melted wax will harden into the shape of its container when heat is removed. 7. Solid butter will melt to a liquid when heat is added. 8. Ice cream will become a liquid if heat is added. 9. Water changes from a liquid to a solid when enough heat is taken away from it. 10. Water freezes and becomes ice. 11. Juice can change from a liquid to a solid. 12. It will become an ice pop. 13. Ice melts when its temperature is high enough. *test on Friday
