Floodplain — Natalie Year — 10
It has been another busy week at Windsor High School this week. The cold weather came upon us last week – winter has definitely arrived. It is most important that your children are prepared for school with the correct school uniform. Some students are still telling us that they don’t have a school jumper yet. Our school uniform shop is open every Thursday next to the canteen from 8am-10am. Hoodies and non-uniform jumpers under school jackets are also a problem because many students take their jack-et off as the day warms up, leaving their non-uniform jumper on, they then get upset when asked to hand their non-uniform jumper over to the Depu-ty! To alleviate this we ask that the second layer, if needed, is also either a school jumper or at least a plain bottle green one – this way we can avoid unpleasant conversations. If any families need some extra support to help with uniforms, please call our school office and our wonderful ad-
ministration staff will be happy to help you out.

Mrs Ruis led a group of Primary Industries teachers through a networking meeting at Windsor High on Tues-day (it was very chilly!) The teachers started off at the Ag plot where they had a go at milking the goats and making ricotta. A brilliant morning tea was prepared by our Food Tech assistant, Mrs Hornsby before heading off to the high tech glasshouse at Western Sydney University and Local Land Services demonstration farm.
Senior executives from the Macquarie RTO were very impressed by our farm.
Mrs Ruis LOVED the goat at the demonstration farm and would love one made for our Ag plot!

Huge congratulations to our Vocal Group and our Aboriginal Dance Group who will be performing this year at
Schools Spectacular!
Blue Datto Day ran on Monday for all Year 10 students. This is an important day we hold annually as it teach-es students an important message about road safety. We do it at this time as many of the students are prepar-ing to take to the roads themselves on their Learner’s Permit. Semester One exams have now finished and teachers are collating assessment and exam results to deter-mine the final grades for all of our students. Report writing comes next, so teachers will be very busy ensuring that they provide reports for you that are meaningful and informative. If you have received any word from teachers that your child has not yet completed any assessment tasks, please assist them to catch up quickly. Remember we provide Maths tutoring in the maths faculty on Mondays till 4pm, Tuesday afternoon Homework Club from 3.15-5pm and Thursday afternoon Academic Support from 2.37-3.15pm – both in the library.
