Starter: Against the Clock...

You have 3 minutes to get yourselves into teams of 5

When the timer runs out you need to be sitting together and have a team name ready!

Remember that everyone must agree on the team name…

The Tower Challenge




Today you will:

Take part in a team game to have a taste of what teamwork is all about.

Analyse what makes good teamwork.



The Tower Challenge:You need to work in your teamsTo design a tower to be the pride of the Canary Wharf area.

Task One:You need to design your tower, as a group. Eachgroup may use two copies of the Metro and somesticky tape.



Your design will betested against fourdifferent criteria…



(1) Height – Your tower needsto be at least 1 metre tall.



(2) Strength – Your tower must be able to bear weight.



(3) Wind Resistance – can your tower cope in a storm?



(4) Design – Is your tower beautiful?



As you work: Think about how effective your team is – how could itbe improved further?



You have five minutes to designyour tower as a team…
