These past few months have been such a

whirlwind! Can you believe that it’s already

May? It’s so easy to get caught up in the

fast pace of everyday life and forget to

take the time to enjoy everything blooming

around you.

May is the perfect time to stop, discon-

nect, and take a few moments to breathe.

Allow yourself time! It really makes such a

difference. Spring is a season of new life

Since Mother’s Day is this month, I wanted to put together a shortlist of ways for you to rest and recuperate during the busy week (whether you’re a mama or not, this list is for you!). These 7 tips for resting and easing the mind work wonders for me and my family, so I wanted to share

with you! So kick your feet up, turn off your phone, and rest up, cuties! You deserve it!

7Skip the workout! You have my permission. If you’re not feeling it that day, take the time you would’ve used to work out and do something for YOU. Maybe it’s stretching, taking a leisurely walk,

or just taking a nap! Do what’s best for YOU!

Get outside! Stevie and I will often take a walk in our neighborhood just to clear our heads, especially if it’s been a stressful day. You’ll

be surprised what just 15-20 minutes will do for your peace of mind!

Treat yo self. Do a face mask, hair mask, or some kind of body treatment at least once a week. Taking the time to

care for yourself is so important in this busy life!

Ways To Rest

7654 Put down the phone - I repeat, PUT DOWN THE PHONE! You heard

me! My new Sunday ritual is social media fasting. It forces me to relax and be present- both Stevie and I are loving it!

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, make a shortlist of what you HAVE to get done, and leave out the things that can wait for later. Prioritizing puts everything in perspective, wipes away

the clutter in your mind, and will put you at ease.

Phone a friend. Or your mom. Or your cousin. Call somebody you love just to chat and laugh! My siblings and I do this every week -

what’s more important than sharing a laugh with someone you love?

Turn off the alarm clock. At least once a week - this is crucial! Let yourself sleep until your body wakes up. It’s so repairing to the mind, body and soul to wake up to peace and calm, and it will set the tone for the rest of your day.
