Kindergarten Jackson Humphries Alex Wright Education Week Last week we showcased what Public Education in Wee Waa is about. The focus of technology in classrooms was enjoyed by students, parents and visitors. We are very fortunate to have so many technology resources in our school. Thank you to the parents and community members who came to celebrate the achievements of our students by visiting classrooms, sharing recess and attending the special assembly in the afternoon. The items and presentation of events also highlighted the breadth of educational experiences provided at the school. Reminder District Athletics Carnival Just a reminder Wee Waa Public School is hosting the District Athletics Carnival this Friday. If any parents wish to help, please contact Miss Pillar. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Tomorrow students from years 4, 5 and 6 will be representing our school in Rugby League and Netball at Walgett in the ‘Ricky Walford, George Rose and Jenny Wright Shield’. Both teams have been training very hard in recent weeks and are looking forward to competing. Our opponents are numerous schools from throughout the North West and there will no doubt be some stiff competition. A note with final car arrangements will be sent home this afternoon. Please remember to meet at our school on Cowper Street at 7am for a 7:15 departure. If arrangements have been made to pick other students up from a different location, please let me know by contacting me on my mobile. The presentation will be at about 3pm and we will travel home afterwards, unless prior arrangements are made. Students are asked to please give the parent who is driving them $5 for fuel costs and we thank those parents very much. We look forward to a wonderful sporting day and hopefully some wins! Miss Fagan. Billy Cart Derby Due to the many activities our school has been involved in so far this term and the Year 5 and 6 Canberra excursion, we will not be able to participate in this event this term. Sorry for any disappointment but time has run out to participate.
