The Original Rosslyn Inn – Gastropub LoungeGastropub n. a pub that specialises in serving high-quality food. The name comes from
gastro - in gastronomy + pub.
We have provided consistent service to our local and loyal customers for over forty years. The Lounge bar has been locally renowned for fresh, quality, hearty, locally sourced produce. Our bar fayre was traditionally known as “pub grub”. However with the concept of a restaurant in a pub reinvigorated, combining both pub culture and quality dining, “Gastropub” was born.
The Original Rosslyn Inn Lounge & Conservatory Gastropub is a family-friendly, family-run business established in 1857. We use fresh locally sourced produce, all prepared and cooked in house by our team under the watchful eye of Grahame Harris, licensee of the premises since March 1973. Our fish is supplied by Clark Brothers of Musselburgh, who pride themselves in using fish from Scottish waters – sustainably sourced. We use only the finest cuts of Scotch beef, grass-fed and matured for 35 days, selected weekly at St Boswells’ market all supplied by local master butcher John from J Gilmour. All vegetables used are seasonally sourced from Scottish soil when possible. The above values and years of experience make our family Gastropub Lounge a place for families and foodies alike.
