penthouseweddingsTh e Penthouse at Aghadoe is the most perfect setting for an intimate wedding. Th e Penthouse is located on the 5th fl oor of the hotel and off ers unrivalled views of the surrounding mountains and lakes.

Make this exclusive two bedroom suite your personal space, a home from home – and entertain your guests in a style that is suited to the two of you.

Th e Garden Room has its own private access as you enter the hotel. This banqueting suite is transformed into a beautiful soft setting for your wedding day.

The Garden Room can seat up to 80 guests for a wedding banquet and with a few simple table adjustments after dinner, a dance fl oor is created for you and your guests to enjoy the rest of the evening.

Th ere is a full bar inside Th e Garden Room and a private balcony for those who wish to step outside - this means that your guests will be able to stay together throughout the evening.

A combination of rectangular and round tables are usually used and our Wedding Co-ordinator can recommend the best table arrangement for your group’s size.

White table cloths and napkins, elegant glassware and glass tea-light candle holders with fl owers on each table are included in your wedding hire.

For larger weddings of up to 195 guests we recommend that you take exclusive use of the hotel. Your wedding banquet will be held in Th e Lake Room Restaurant and can accommodate up to 195 guests. White table cloths, napkins, elegant glassware, mirror discs, glass tea-light holders and fl owers are all part of the standard setting. Couples may choose to add their own additional décor if they wish.

After dinner, your guests can move into the adjacent, uber chic Heights Lounge where there is space for a band or DJ and

dance fl oor and there is also a full bar and a full length balcony leading off the Heights Lounge for those who wish to step outside.

Because the hotel is exclusively booked out for you, there are less restrictions with regards to late entertainment.

Our Wedding Co-ordinator will work together with you to advise the minimum number of rooms which will need to be booked in order for us to close the hotel on your behalf.

Dining at Aghadoe is a celebration, with everything prepared to order from the best local produce. Each wedding menu is created in close consultation with the bride and groom, from the number of courses, to the preferred petit fours with coff ee. We welcome couples for a tasting dinner to ensure their plans come together to perfection.

To entertain wedding couples and their guests after dinner, we have a myriad of suggestions - anything from a simple sing-song around Aghadoe’s Grand Piano, to dancing to more contemporary sounds. In addition to Th e Heights Lounge cocktail bar, we also off er delicious snacks to keep energy levels topped up into the night.

questions you might have …How do we book our wedding?Mostcouplesfindthattheyneedalittletime to fi nalise the perfect date when matching the ceremony and reception. We are happy to hold a date for youprovisionally, where possible, for an agreed length of time. When you areready to confi rm your special day, we will supply you with a full contract and information on what deposit will need to be paid. On receipt of your deposit we will consider your wedding date confi rmed.

What deposit is necessary to secure my date?A deposit of 25% of the total cost is required to confi rm your wedding date.

How will our guests reserve their accommodation?Your guests can either book directly withourReservationsTeamorthey

can book on our website using a unique booking code to access your preferred wedding rate.

How many rooms will we need to book?Th is depends on the size of yourwedding.Weddingsforupto80guestscan be held in Th e Garden Room,weddings for up to 50 guests can beheld in Th e Penthouse. You are notobliged to book any guestrooms for these numbers.

Forlargerweddings,upto195guests,the hotel will be closed to the public and will become yours exclusively.In order todo this, ourWeddingCo-ordinator will recommend the number of guestrooms you will need to reserve. Th isnumberwilldependontheseasonand day of the wedding.

Can we have a Ceremony andthe Reception in one venue?Yes – Th e Aghadoe Heights Hotel& Spa is an approved venue for Civil and Humanist Ceremoniesand Partnerships. Our WeddingCoordinator will be happy to discussthe venue options with you.

How late can we play music?DJ’s and Bands will need to reducetheirvolumeatmidnight forGardenRoom and Penthouse Weddings.Background music can be playedafter this time, at the discretion of the Manageronduty.

What time will the bar close?Th e bar will remain open until12:30am.Abarextensionuntil1:30am may be requested. Certainconditions will apply and times

may vary in accordance to the Irish Licensing Laws.

Is there a service charge included?Yes - a service charge of 12.5% isincluded on all menus.

What if we need to cancel the wedding or change the date?A full cancellation policy will be given to you prior to confi rmation of your wedding.
