Our Riverview Room can cater for up to 200 guests sit down or 300 persons cocktail style and has sweeping views of the Brisbane River, Story Bridge and iconic Kangaroo Point cliffs. These

magnificent views are amplified by our unique building design, which counter levers over the water.

Riverview Room

Heritage Room & Terrace RoomOur Riverview Room can be split into two smaller spaces catering for up to 100 guests sit down and 150

cocktail in each. These spaces are ideal for more intimate receptions. Although these are a smaller option, they are big on wow factor. The Heritage Room offers uninterrupted views of Customs House

and the Story Bridge while the Terrace Room boasts it’s own private terrace.

The Dining RoomOur Dining Room can seat up to 30 guests sit down style. With state of the art audio-visual facilities

and private amenities it is the ultimate exclusive dining option. For your special day, the Dining Room can be made available as a Bridal Retreat or Green Room for your entertainment, please speak

JAKE NICOLSON GROUP EXECUTIVE CHEF

Jake began his cooking career at the Lake House in Daylesford under the guidance of respected chef and owner Alla Wolf Tasker. Prior to joining the Ghanem Group Jake worked at Circa the Prince in Melbourne for 7 years, taking over as head chef in 2010 where he was recognised with two Chef Hats from The Age Good Food Guide 2012. Jake’s work experience also includes a stint at the famous El Bulli in Spain and previous to that in London at The Vineyard, The Square and The Ledbury.

In 2004 Jake was the winner of the Borges/Ferran Adria culinary Scholarship. He was also selected to represent Australia at the International Food & Wine Festival in Dubai in 2005. In 2008 Jake was named Appetite for Excellence Young Chef of the Year. This saw him travel to Venice where he competed in the prestigious international San Pellegrino Cooking cup in which he placed 3rd.

Outside of his kitchen Jake is a member of the QLD state judging panel for the Delicious produce awards, ambassador for Electrolux appetite for excellence program and a member of the Royal National Agricultural beef judging panel

PENNY GRANTGROUP SOMMELIER

Penny Grant started her career in Brisbane at the age of 16, her first significant mentors were Simon Hill & Matthew Brook of Isis Brasserie which later turned into the popular site Ortiga.In 2008 Penny packed up and headed south to Melbourne to further her wine knowledge and experience. It’s in Melbourne that she met Liam O’Brien (Circa the Prince) the first of her two Victorian mentors who then put her in contact with Lincoln Riley with whom she worked for the next 5 years at 3 different venues – Taxi Dining Room, Maze by Gordon Ramsay and Stokehouse St Kilda.

Late 2013 saw a return to Brisbane for Penny with the opportunity to help open and establish BlackBird Bar & Grill in Eagle Street where she is sommelier and group wine buyer for the entire Ghanem Group. The hugely popular BlackBird has been open since March 2014 winning the 2014 Good Food Guide ‘Drinks list of the year” and Penny awarded “Sommelier of the Year”.
