STATION HOTELTERMS AND CONDITIONS: WEDDINGS

THE STATION PROMISEWe promise to do our professional best to make your Wedding run smoothly and be a happy and memorable occasion. To facilitate this, only minor changes will be accepted after 2 weeks prior to your Wedding.

DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTAll deposits are non refundable.To secure the booking, a non-refundable deposit of £500.00 is required within 2 weeks of a verbal booking. If a deposit is not received in the required time then the date will be released.A further payment to take the deposit up to 50% of the estimated total account is required 6 calendar months before the event (depending on date of booking).An estimated account of the balance must be cleared in our bank 1 calendar month prior to your wedding. Sums associat-ed with any amendments will be payable at the time of the amendment.All extras requested during the event will be charged to your account unless you instruct us in writing and in advance not to do so.

FINAL NUMBERSFinal numbers and table plan should be advised to the hotel 3 weeks prior.

CANCELLATION POLICYAll wedding cancellations must be in writing. All deposits are non-refundable.

ACCOMMODATIONGuest accommodation cancelled less than 48 hours in advance will be payable in full. Any bedroom accommodation booked is available from 14.00 on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11.00 on the morning of departure, unless specific alternative arrangements have been agreed. Accommodation bills must be settled by this time.

GENERAL LIABILITYOur hotel will not be liable for failure to provide the services contracted in cases of:

Industrial action by hotel employees or the employees of a major supplier.Fire, lightning, aircraft impact, explosion, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, storm, tempest flood, burst pipes, earthquakes and impact.Breakdown of plant or failure of supply to hotel of gas, electricity, water services etc.Any other circumstances beyond our control.This contract shall be governed by and construed in all aspects in accordance with Scottish law.Our hotel will not be liable for misrepresentation of a Third Party.

CHILD POLICYChildren of 14 years and under are welcome but must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Children are not permitted in the bar areas and we ask for health and safety reasons that children are not permitted on the stairs or revolving door.

COMPLAINTS PROCEDUREIn the unlikely event that you or any member of your party have any reason to complain, you must immediately inform the Duty Manager or General Manager. Any verbal notification must subsequently be put in writing and given to the hotel as soon as possible. No liability can be accepted if you fail to notify the problem according to this procedure.

PRICESOur hotel reserves the right to amend prices in line with changes in dues, fuel costs, taxes or exchange rates.

3RD PARTY PERSONAL INSURANCEOur hotel will only be responsible for death or personal injury which is clearly its own fault, and will not be responsible for any other loss or injury.

DAMAGEThe customer shall be responsible for any damage caused to the hotel rooms or furnishings, utensils and equipment by any act, default or neglect of the customer, subcontractor or guests of the customer and shall pay the hotel on demand the amount needed to make good or remedy such damage.

VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENTOur hotel will not accept any liability for loss or damage to any vehicle, entertainment equipment or the like.

CORKAGENo drinks or food may be brought into the hotel for consumption on the premises unless prior consent has been gained from the hotel. Charges for corkage: wine: £10.00 per bottle; spirits: £40.00 per bottle.

HEALTH & SAFETYAll customers are responsible for their own Health and Safety and must ensure full compliance with the hotel’s Health & Safety Policy, a copy of which is available on request.

EQUIPMENTAny electrical equipment brought to the venue, such as by your entertainment contractors, must be PAT tested and certifi-cated. Smoke machines, nor any other equipment which may cause the Fire Alarm to go off, may not be used.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITYPlease note that (other than with regard to personal injury) – hotel’s liability for incomplete or non performance or any breach of contract by hotel and/ or Third Party will be limited to a maximum of total package cost. In no circumstances will we accept liability for consequential or economic loss of profit.All bookings made arising out of this contract will be deemed subject to the above conditions which will prevail over any conditions stipulated or referred to by the customer. This contract does not affect any rights which the customer may have under the Hotel Proprietors’ Act 1956 where that act applies.
