HOW TO ReAd YOUR cOnTenTS/FLOAT GAUGe

Your contents or float gauge is a dial located at X or Y on the diagram above, depending on the size of your tank. There is usually a plastic white cover over the gauge which you will need to remove in order to read it. The dial will show how much gas is in your tank. If you are not on telemetry/automatic top-up, when your tank falls below 30%, please contact a member of our Customer Support Team to place an order for a delivery of gas. You’ll find our contact details at the back of this booklet.

Your installation is equipped with a two-stage pressure reduction system. The first stage is normally mounted directly on the tank, while the second stage can either be on the tank, or it can be located at the entry to the building. This makes sure that gas is supplied into your business premises at constant pressure. If you leave your premises unattended for any length of time, it is sensible to turn off all your gas appliances and the Emergency Control Valve. (See diagram below.)

HOW TO ReAd YOUR ROTOGAGe

For business customers who have a tank that has a greater capacity than two tonnes, you may have a rotogage. To read the rotogage, you must follow these steps:

1. Turn rotogage to 100% mark.2. Open vent valve at end of rotogage stem by turning

it anticlockwise.3. Slowly turn rotogage lever anticlockwise. (Keep

turning until a liquid gas escapes as a white coloured spray - read % contents at this stage.)

4. Turn rotogage back towards 100% mark until liquid spray stops.

5. Repeat step 3 turning the rotogage lever clockwise this time.

Always return rotogage to 100% mark when finished and be sure to close the vent valve by turning it clockwise. When operating with live gas, personal protective equipment must be worn i.e. protective goggles and gloves.
