Przemyslaw Wechterowicz – 36 year old, happily married author of books for children, theatrical plays and poetry.

He lives in Warsaw and also works as a copywriter. He loves chocolate and cakes, reading good literature, observing

animals, and daydreaming. He understands children very well, because deep down he has never grown up. One day

he would like to travel the world and have his books translated into all languages. Until now he has published 15

books in Poland, two in France, two in Brazil and another four are soon to be published in China. His books have

received a positive critical acclaim and won some prestigious awards in Poland and worldwide.

This book was published by ZNAK in 2008 and two print runs have

been completely sold out. The title was later sold to Brazilian “Editora

Biruta”. After some time the book was selected by a prestigious federal

government program in Brazil and the book was printed in additional

40,000 copies.

Illustrated by the highly talented Marta Ignerska, who was awarded

Bologna Ragazzi Award in 2012, the books tells the dreams of animals,

buildings, objects and plants surrounding. The wonderful illustrations

by Ignerska and the imaginative words of one of the most successful

Polish authors of children’s book, won’t fail to excite the readers’

fantasy to dream.

The Illustrator Aleksandra Woldańska-Płocińska

She’s a graphic designer. I live and work in Poznan, Poland.

She graduated visual communication at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, Poland. Since 2010 she’s an assistant in

Packaging Design studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan.

She designs mostly posters and illustrations and also cooperates as an illustrator with a few polish magazines.

A dynamic story about a Mayfly, who finds out that her life will last only one day. She cannot understand what it

really means to die, nevertheless, becoming certain that it’s not funny, she decides to live her whole life. Joined by a

new friend – a Fly - she decides to see and experience everything before the night comes. The Fly will lead her

through the city of New York, where the action of this poetic tale takes place: they fly to the park, to the zoo, to a

bookshop, to the best restaurant of the city, to the horse races and to the statue of Liberty. When night comes, they

stop and have dinner together: there’s only one thing left Mayfly have to learn: the name of Fly, Lucy. But during this

Project

A new, funny and smart story with the superb illustrations of Natalia Baronowska. Animals talks about their

Mistresses and masters in a funny way: the reader will find cats, crocodiles, horses, chickens, dachshunds, cockroach

and more.

Natalia Baranowska graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Graphics Department.

For the last 5 years she's been leading her own design studio Manuka with her friends from the Academy. Her main

interests are book design, visual identities, board games and projects for children. She's working with cultural

institutions and publishing houses, she's also involved in some independent bottom-up projects.

Manuka's biggest, well-known success lately was creating of board game "Queue" which received a lot of awards,

was shown in Polish and foreign exhibitions and was translated into 7 languages (including Japanese).

Cat: - I don’t get my mistress. Can anyone explain why instead of lying with me on the sofa or at the radiator she is

always in a hurry, always running and always nervous? Only at night she behaves normally, when we go to sleep

together under a warm blanket… I purr her a lullaby then.




. Horse:

- My mistress is still very young and impetuous. When we gallop across the woods I can sense lots of bad energy in

her. I hope I have a soothing effect on her.

Fly

- When I come flying my master waves at me so enthusiastically! With both arms! It makes me feel exceptional… I

sometimes see him in my dreams - he is a fly like me and we’re both sitting on a perfectly white wall.




Snowflake and Blackie. A Trip to the Stars.

This is an interactive book, meant for a very big format (31 x 39 - to

be colored on the floor). Kids are invited to draw their own

illustrations in the blank spaces or color white fragments. It will be

followed by part 2 and 3 - Snowflake and Blackie will be visiting the

Amazon, and the ocean floor.

At the edge of a forest, in a small house with a red brick chimney, lived two close friends - Snowflake and Blackie.

Their favorite pastime was gazing at the stars. Usually after tea, they sat back comfortably on soft pillows and

watched the sky, listening to the mysterious cosmic hum...







THE FISH AND THE SUN

This book has already been published by Ediotra Biruta (Brasil), in Poland by Officyna and in China by New Star

Press. The main character is a deep-sea fish who leads a lonely life in the endless darkness at the bottom of an ocean.

She dreams of changing her fate, but her few visitors are reluctant to make friends with her. But when one day a Sun

Beam visits her, she finds the strength to change her life.
