CHBS Presents:
Comedy Night & Dinner See Details on Page 4
Dear Lodge Brothers,
We’re trying something new this year, getting our own room
and running our own show (with professional comedians).
We will have a delicious catered buffet dinner with salad, en-
trees, including Chicken Marsala, Roast Beef, & Pasta Primavera.
Included are sides, dessert, and beverages, with beer and wine.
Remember this is our big scholarship event of the year and
we need everyone to come and bring as many people as possible. If
you think it’s an expensive ticket, remember you would most likely
have gone out to dinner before the show at a greater expense any-
way. Also there is no Closing Affair (50th Anniversary event in Sep-
tember) so you won’t be hit with another big event bill this Spring.
And please remember
this is a FUNDRAISER!
We are going to have a
GREAT evening of food,
laughter, and friendship in an
awesome hall all to ourselves!

“There’s a saying among us, we use all the time, It’s a really good saying, but so hard to rhyme. We all greet each other as everyone knows, with this wonderful saying; and here’s how it goes: You’re never alone, you’re never alone; you’re never alone, when you’re in brith sholom.

President’s Message
Greetings Brothers,
It’s been an interesting winter, large snow fall closing schools and offices followed by 70 degree days on
the golf course, what crazy weather! We had a great super bowl party at Pizzeria Uno thanks to Marc and Sue
Witte for all their hard work in making this a success for a second year. The betting pools made money for the win-
ners and our scholarship fund, but not for me, no luck. Maybe the Eagles will be there next year. (Lol).
Our sweetheart dinner was also a great success. We had close to thirty sweethearts at the Pub for a delicious
dinner. Thanks once again to Sue and Allan Block for their efforts, always making this a great event. We are hav-
ing great turnouts for our events and they are only getting better. Try and come to the next event; it will be even
better if you come too!!
Something that has come to my attention is the seating at our different events. We all like to sit with our
friends at each lodge function but we are excluding some of our newer members. Please leave room at your table
for a “new friend” to sit with you at the next function you attend. This will help our lodge grow and make our new-
er members feel more welcome. We are a brotherhood and everyone should feel welcome at all of our events. Re-
member you were once the new man in the lodge so let’s make an effort to make everyone feel a part of our lodge.
We are working on the March Bingo night at Sakura Springs restaurant. It will be a good time with Rick
and Lisa Weiser planning it. There will be some fun surprises and the money will be used for our charities.
Our big comedy fundraiser is taking shape. It’s going to be bigger and funnier than ever before. It is going
to take place on April 9th at the firehouse on route 38 and Church Road in Cherry Hill, close to the mall. It was re-
cently renovated and holds 150 people. We will be having a catered meal of chicken marsala, pasta primavera and
roast beef for our entries, along with Caesar salad, beer and wine and dessert, and of course the show, all for $45
per person. It is our fifth comedy night and it will be our best. But it won’t be successful if you don’t attend.
Please bring your friends and family or even people you marginally like to the comedy night. We will have reserved
seating and if you can get 10 people together you can reserve a table. Tickets are available now. Please call me or
Marc Richman for information or suggestions.
Other events in the works are the men’s retreat at the Rod and Gun Club in April, and our Gala 50th anni-
versary party. We are going skiing and go carting again so watch your emails and try to come and have some fun.
Remember if you don’t see something that you want to do, get involved, plan an event; we would love to hear what
you would like to do.
Fraternally yours,
Hal
