This new version can talk to InFusion and QLink Systems at the same time. For example a single macro could be created to turn lights on and off for an InFusion and QLink system at the same time, almost anyplace in the world. New Features iPhone theme Mobile phone Black theme for other PDA's and smart phones Reworked the mobile theme for Windows mobile devices running Opera IP camera support Ability to set Camera masking of motion sensed zones Ability to react (with a macro) when motion is sensed at the camera System Requirements This software is compatible with InFusion Design Center and QLink Systems. QLink systems require Master Controller firmware version 6.3 or higher and QLink software version 3.3 or higher for proper operation. For new projects it is recommended that firmware and software be kept to the most current release available for either lighting system. Setup System for Remote Access to WebPoint In order to access WebPoint from outside the premise, the security settings on the home’s IP router/gateway will, most likely, need to be modified. Use the technique commonly referred to as "Port Forwarding". On the home router/gateway, go into the Port settings and allow port 80 on the router to pass through to the WebPoint computer Port 80. Double check the IP address & port settings in WebPoint by navigating to the "System" screen. WebPoint will now be accessible from anywhere an internet connection is available by navigating a browser to the IP address of the home’s router. Setup a Resident Domain Name, e.g., www.myhouse.net If the Internet Service Provider (ISP) does not have a static IP address for the internet router (Not sure? Contact the ISP provider. Typically a static IP address costs extra), it is recommended to set up an account with a "Dynamic DNS" provider. The "Dynamic DNS" provider can assign a name, e.g., LarsenHome32.net, to the home network. The DNS provider allows remote access from anywhere in the world and eliminates the need to keep track of IP addresses from the ISP, which are frequently modified. Dynamic DNS providers may require a small piece of software be downloaded to run on one of the computers on the premise; the WebPoint computer is a good choice. This software will update the "dynamic DNS" system with the IP address multiple times a day so the "dynamic DNS" provider can always map the domain name, e.g., LarsenHome32.net, to the current IP address assigned by the Internet Service Provider. Installing WebPoint Please be aware of the following: WebPoint should install over the top of previous installs without requiring an un-install. Previously setup cameras (from version 2.0 or earlier) may need to be setup again in order to operate properly. 1. WebPoint may be installed on Microsoft® Windows XP or Windows VISTA systems a. When installing on Windows VISTA, the installer must have Administrator privileges 2. Please exit all other window programs before beginning the installation of WebPoint. 3. For the CD version, insert the CD and the auto launch program will execute opening the WebPoint Installation. 4. For the downloaded version, double click on the WebPoint Installation Icon. The Installation program will then launch. 5. Please follow the instructions in the Setup program. 6. Near the end of the installation, dealer and customer information will be requested.
