Last week we continued deepening our understanding of the activity of messengers. Messengers are spirits, spirits are thoughts, thoughts are words and words become things. As a body of thoughts, messengers are responsible for creating and sustaining doctrines and beliefs. These thoughts become a system of worship. Paul explains how this occurs in Satan’s reign.

But the Spirit distinctly says that in latter times some shall fall away from the belief, paying attention to misleading spirits and teachings (doctrines) of demons. ~ I Tim. 4.1

The book of Enoch describes how 200 messengers lusted after the beautiful and fair daughters of the men on earth. Upon mutual agreement, they descended and took these women as wives. Their influence caused great wickedness. Every imagination of the thoughts of men’s hearts became only evil continually. These fallen messengers taught corrupted knowledge such as charms, spells, and weapons of war. They also sinned against the creatures of the earth and began eating their flesh. These fallen messengers continue to exist today.

The writings of Enoch go on to speak of Michael, Uriel, Raphael, and Gabriel, the messengers of Yahuah. These spirits also come as thoughts, thoughts of life, protection, health, guidance, and all other characteristics of Yahuah and His reign. Yahuah, His messengers, and His Reign are one. We have come unto this city of the living Elohim, the heavenly Yerushalayim, and an innumerable company of messengers! (Ibrim/Heb. 12.22) Be still and harken unto the voice of these messengers. Learn the language and submit to the laws of this city.

The messengers of Yahuah are available to serve us. Paul writes, “Are they (these messengers) not all serving spirits, sent out to attend those who are about to inherit deliverance?” (Heb. / Ibrim 1.14)

Most of us are familiar with casting out demons as we are instructed to do in the Scriptures (Mat. 10.8). This is good. However, once this is done, there is another critical step. Our thoughts must change; otherwise, we’ll continue to give place to a demonic thought within our heart or consciousness. Unless the thought is changed, the demonic spirit will return with seven others.

“Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places seeking rest, and finds none. Then it says, ‘I shall return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds it empty, swept, and decorated. Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself and they enter and dwell there. And the last of that man is worse than the first. ~ Mat. 12.43-45

Paul admonishes us to subject ourselves to Elohim and to resist the devil, and he shall flee (James 4.7). Notice that we must first subject ourselves to Yahuah. This is done through belief by subjecting our thoughts to His thoughts and by taking captive every thought to make it obedient to Mashiach. Yahuah’s thoughts (messengers) in us oppose the devil and are powerful

enough to make him flee. This is because demons recognize the presence of Yahuah and they tremble (James 2.19).

For the weapons we fight with are not fleshly, but mighty in Elohim for overthrowing strongholds, overthrowing reasonings and every high matter that exalts itself against the knowledge of Elohim, taking captive every thought to make it obedient to the Mashiach. ~ II Cor. 10.5

The following are our armor, or “power thoughts” that overcome the schemes of the devil: Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Belief, Deliverance and the Spirit/Word of Elohim (Eph. 6.11-17).

Remember, spirits and messengers are thoughts. Each has a unique characteristic and manifestation. Be conscious of which messenger you are entertaining. You will know the tree (the kingdom or reign) by its fruit (the words and ensuing manifestation).

The good man brings forth what is good out of the good treasure of his heart and the wicked man brings forth what is wicked out of the wicked treasure of his heart. For out of the overflow of the heart his mouth speaks.” (Luke 6.45).

Yahuahshua said, “The words that I speak to you are Spirit and are life”. Words come from thoughts. Thoughts are spirit. These words, thoughts, and spirits come from either the tree of life or the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Thoughts of demonic messengers have a purpose. They are designed to steal, kill and destroy. Beware of the subtlety of these seemingly innocent thoughts. As they appear, conform your thoughts to those that create abundant life. Yahuahshua is the Way, the Truth and the Life. His messengers present thoughts that foster this life, yet it is up to us to choose accordingly. If our thoughts don’t change, neither will our outcomes. All of the works of the flesh, the fruit of demonic messengers (Gal. 5.19-21), must be changed from within, that is, our thoughts.

Moses had the following insightful revelation regarding messengers (as recorded by the Essenes). It is worthy of thoughtful meditation.

Moses saw the universe as a gigantic Cosmic Order in which existed inexhaustible sources of energy, knowledge and harmony at man's disposal. He had always remembered the two legends of his ancestor Jacob who had fought and conquered an angel and later had had a vision of angels ascending and descending upon a ladder connecting heaven and earth. He identified these angels as the forces of nature and the powers of man's consciousness and saw that these forces and powers were the connecting link between man and God. He identified God with the great universal Law.

He came to the conclusion that if man is to reach God, he must first become master of all the forces which are manifestations of God, of the Law. He wanted to make his people "strong with the Law," which is the meaning of the word Israel. And he wanted to create a system of life which would make it possible for them to conquer the angels as their forefather, Jacob, had done. This was the foundation of occult science as it is termed today, of the science of the angels, later recorded as angelology.

Moses wanted his followers to realize that they are in constant contact, every moment of their lives and in all points of their being, with all the forces of life and the visible and invisible universe; and if they contact these powers consciously, and become continually conscious of them, they will enjoy perfect health, happiness and harmony in body and mind and every department of their lives. ~ The Teachings of the Essenes from Enoch to the Dead Sea Scrolls, Chapter 2 “The One Law”

Marianne Williamson, in her book Illuminata, writes the following about messengers. “Angels are powerful thought-forms that help to hold the world together. They are the thoughts of synthesis, connection, and repair. To call on the angels is to move our attention to a higher, more creative direction, to invoke the structures of a more enlightened worldview.”

It therefore becomes clear that in order to grow, we must be more aware of these life forces within and without. Pay attention to your thoughts. Discern the presence of the messengers that present thoughts that come from either the tree of life or the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Think circumspectly and choose life.

“Only to the Sons of Men is it given the power of thought, even that thought that can break the bonds of death. Do not think because it cannot be seen that thought has no power.”

In the beginning, Yahuah created the heavens and the earth. In other words, He brought forth or birthed all of creation. The things He created were designed to increase and bring forth more. He said let the earth bring forth plants and trees that yield seeds and fruit whose seed is in itself according to its kind. Yahuah also made man saying, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.” His image consists of His innumerable thoughts and His creative ability. In Mashiach, we are given the privilege and responsibility to nurture His thoughts to master life. This includes thinking from a position of authority and dominion; and to create, expand, perpetuate and be a manifestation of His Reign on the earth. All things are possible to him who believes (Mk 9.23).

Adam and Eve were perfectly fine and in a position of authority until they chose to listen to and partake of the serpent’s beliefs and concepts (doctrines of demons from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil). This occurred subtly and deceptively over time and through normal everyday conversation until Eve was finally deceived by the serpent’s words. Once this occurred with Adam in agreement, they died. Cherubim were then placed to guard the way back to the tree of life, lest they live forever. Right of entry is now restored through Yahuahshua Mashiach. This tree of life is the presence of Yahuah and it has fruit (thoughts) that yields seeds of eternal life. The leaves of this tree do not wither. They are for the healing of the nations. It is given to us to know these mysteries of Yahuah’s reign.

“Blessed are those doing His commands, so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life and to enter through the gates into the city.” ~ Rev. 22.14

Enoch was a man who was totally wrapped up in the presence of Yahuah. Messengers even come to him for instruction. Enoch’s belief, that is, his thoughts and consciousness, were so unwaveringly immersed in Yahuah that he did not see death and he was translated (Ibrim/Heb.

11.5). He had no vision of death, no death related thought. He fulfilled the words later spoken by Yahuahshua:

“I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he dies, he shall live. And everyone that is living and believing in Me shall never die at all. Do you believe this?” ~ Yohanan 11.25-26

As we harmoniously subject ourselves to the messengers of Yahuah, we concurrently invoke all of His creation, both visible and invisible, to work on our behalf. Yahuah is one. This is what allowed David to overcome Goliath and the Philistine army, both visible and invisible forces were at work. It’s time for us to start becoming more familiar and acquainted with this realm and our relationship in it. As Moses realized, if we contact these powers consciously and become continually conscious of them, we will enjoy perfect health, happiness and harmony in body and mind, and every department of their lives.

It is through our thoughts that we are ultimately responsible and accountable for all that we have and experience (read As a Man Thinketh, chapters 1 and 2 reference below). As we subject our thoughts to Yahuah’s Reign, things improve. It is up to each of us to change our thoughts. This is repentance.

We attract who we are, not what we want. Get grounded in who you are in Mashiach. Halal Yahuah!
