This Weeks Learning:

This week we will continue reading ‘Winnie at the Seaside.’ We are writing postcards as if we are Winnie or Wilbur and telling someone special all about their antics at the beach.

In Maths we will be consolidating the place value of numbers; looking at the value of numbers in two and three numbers. (Hundred’s, ten’s and one’s) Also identifying odd and even numbers.

In Geography we will use key words to describe seaside locations and observe aerial photographs of seaside locations.

In Science we will be consolidating our understanding of recycling; looking at the materials we recycle.

During our PE sessions we will be developing fielding and striking skills with Mr Ibbs on a Wednesday afternoon (we have three sessions with his this term) and developing aiming skills and track skills on Monday.

In D.T we will reviewing and evaluating salads that have vegetables in. We will be tasting the salads. If you could make a salad with vegetables in please Do Jo to let me know i.e potato salad, coleslaw, carrot salad, pasta salad with mixed veg, bean salad.

In Art this week we will be drawing fish with pen. If anyone could donate a fish from the supermarket (a whole one to illustrate fins, eyes, scales etc) it would be gratefully received. Please let me know via Do Jo if you can!

In RE we will be recapping the main beliefs of Hindus.

We are going to be reflective using: The Firebird by Stravinsky.

In PHSE we will read a story about what it feels like to start something new. We will be empathising with the children in the story and linking those good and bad feelings to our own experiences.
