HOMEWORK:As we enter into the month of April we will, hopefully, see some nice spring weather. We would like to remind students to continue to work hard and to complete all homework assignments and pass them in on time.

EARLY CLOSURES – ALL AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES CANCELLEDWe would like to remind parents and guardians, if school is closed early on any day, all after school activities scheduled for that day are also cancelled. This also means that the After School Program run by Cathy Anderson is also cancelled for that day and alternate arrangements for your chid(ren) must be sent to your child’s homeroom teacher to keep on file.

BADMINTON:Morell Consolidated Badminton team has been made, and looks to be a strong team heading into the meets.  Novice (grade.5/6) players will be going to Souris on April. 11th, Bantam (grade.7/8) players will be heading to Mt.Stewart on April.12th.  Any players who qualify in the top 4 at these tournaments in singles or doubles will move on to the Zone.4 meet on April. 19th in Souris.  Transportation will be provided for grade.5/6 students going to/from Souris on the 11th. Parents wishing to attend the meet, tournament play will begin around 9, and will start with doubles(all students play doubles).  Doubles usually finishes between eleven, and noon.  Singles will begin as soon as doubles has finished.  Check with your participant to see if they are doing singles as well.  Singles play will go from noon until around two o'clock.

BUS NOTES:We would like to remind you that bus drivers are not allowed to drop off students at another location without a note. If a student is to get off of the bus at another stop other than their normal drop off location, they must have a note. These notes should be sent to the school with your child in the morning. If something unexpected comes up during the school day, and your child(ren) need to go somewhere else after school, you may call the school office.

MUSIC AND DRAMA ENHANCEMENT CAMPAIGN UNDERWAY !

Our Music and Drama Departments are hoping to raise $8,000 for new equipment and we are seeking parent support of this project. Our school requires new choir risers that are used at concerts for the children to stand on to be seen. The current wooden risers are no longer safe and must be replaced. These risers are estimated at $4,000 to replace. We are also looking at purchasing 5 wireless microphones to enhance sound quality of our productions. The school has been renting these microphones for school plays however if owned by the school could be used for all concerts. These are valued at $3,000.Next on the list is new stage lighting costing $1,000.Each family will receive $20 worth of tickets to buy or sell to help support this project. Many thanks !Tickets and monies to be returned to the school by Friday April 28th 😊** If you do not wish to participate in this fundraiser please return the unsold tickets to the school ASAP so they can be sold.**Thanks so much.

We are very pleased to be partnering with the Morell Lions on this project. They are donating the $1,000 Prize for this Mother's Day Draw in addition to providing the tickets !! We just have to sell our share of the tickets !! Many thanks to the Morell Lions for this support !!🤗🤗
