Molding our Children through Prayer

It’s powerful – seeking inspiration for prayer for our children in the sights and sounds around us. For example, as the water runs, I pray that when our families pass through the waters of pressing circumstances, may they clearly comprehend God’s comforting Presence walking with them, even carrying them (Is. 43:2).

When I hear a pen click, I ask God to write the story of our children’s lives. Music - may their hearts be filled with songs of praise to God, and may He write His songs in their hearts.

Each time they walk through the door - may our home, their hearts, be a house of prayer for all nations.

The boys love tracking lizards and playing with rubber snakes. May they exercise their spiritual authority, crushing snakes and scorpions (the spiritual enemy) under their feet (Luke 10:19).

When playing doctor - may our children live as servants and friends to You and the watching world. Flood their hearts with compassion for all who are hurting. May they speak Your Word with confidence as You perform signs and miracles within and through these children You designed for Your honor, glory, and delight.

Too many teens are addicted to their phones. Oh, Father!

May they seek to hear Your Voice,to long to understand what You’re doing throughout the earth,

and to comprehend Your plan for their liveswith the same passionate energy as most engage on social media.

While packing lunches for school or at meal times – Father,

may their food be to do You Will. And as they leave for school –

we ask that God guide their hearts into friendshipsthat will cause them to thrive.

May they influence their classmates and teachersin a manner that will lead multitudes into deep relationship with You.
