GRAIGUENAMANAGH TIDY TOWNS

On behalf of the town Graiguenamanagh Tidy Towns plan to submit an entry into this years national Super Valu sponsored Tidy Towns Competition. To make the entry as complete as possible we need to provide details of how the town has improved and progressed since we last entered the competition in 2015. There are a number of categories in the entry as follows

1/. Community Involvement and Planning. 60 Marks2/. Built Involvement and Screetscape 50 Marks3/. Landscape & Open Spaces 50 Marks4/. Wildlife, Habitats & Natural Amenities 50 Marks5/. Sustainable Waste & Resource Management 50 Marks6/. Tidiness & Litter Control 90 Marks7/. Residential Steets & Housing Areas 50 Marks8/. Approach Roads Streets & Lanes 50 Marks

In the past two years there have been many improvements in the town which need to be included in the entry form. Some of these are obvious such as the considerable development on the quay. There are many other smaller improvements, which when taken together point highlight how the town has improved. If as an individual you have improved your premises, painted etc, tidied up the garden, cleaned up your road or street please let us know that your effort can be reflected in the entry form. If you put up next boxes for wild birds, work with your neighbours to take rubbish to the recycling centre etc. Any examples that you can provide would be welcome. A wonderful initiative is a group of householders in town who have organised an egg co-operative wherein waste food is fed to the hens and the eggs are then shared out. If you can point to any improvement/development, no matter how small, or examples of community involvement to improve the town please let GTT know to include it in this years entry form.
