JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Fundraising Officer
Location: Wilkinson Street, Sheffield
Accountable to: The Board of Trustees
Reporting to: Fundraising Team
Accountable for: Community & corporate fundraising support, as well as delivering specialist fundraising events
Job Summary: To develop and support community, corporate and events fundraising. This is a unique role where experience and training in all the main areas of fundraising will be provided. Over time, the individual will be able to specialize in the area they feel most effective. The role is target driven, high energy and person centered, suiting someone with an entrepreneurial spirit and who enjoys building relationships. Cavendish Cancer Care is in an exciting growth phase, as such the role offers a great opportunity to innovate, lead and shape our department.
Key Responsibilities Full training & support provided
1. Support corporate fundraising by making contact with and securing new corporate partners, as well as managing a number of current partners to aid and guide their fundraising.
2. Support community fundraising, such as people doing challenges, runs or hosting local fundraising events, through providing our supporters with all the materials and direction they need to be successful.
3. Design and implement a calendar of engaging public facing fundraising events that raise donations for the charity but also allow for relationships with the charity to grow and deepen.
4. Manage the delivery of a number of our larger events, such as our annual dinner and Sheffield wide challenges.
5. From time to time, manage and organise small bespoke cultivation events, such as a senior dinner or tour of the charity, to help further progress philanthropic relationships.
6. Ensure all donors worked with receive exceptional stewardship with timely thanking and donor recognition.
7. Maintain a professional social media presence (Linked In, Twitter), thanking and displaying the work of our supporters.
8. Feed into occasional articles/blogs/press that are part of the charity’s communication strategy.
9. Achieve KPIs and targets as agreed with the Director of Fundraising. 10.Work with other areas of the team, such as Trust & Foundations, to aid in the
solicitation of ‘cross over’ major gifts. 11.Update the database of all interactions in a GDPR compliant manner.12.Any other responsibilities commensurate with the grade.

deliver overall goals• Ensure all interactions are updated on the database in line with the prospect
management system requirements

The post holder may also be required to carry out other duties reasonably expected by Cavendish Cancer Care.

CONTRACT TERMSContract Status: Permanent, Full time
Working hours: Normal office hours are Mon- Fri 9.00- 5.30, however, evening and weekend working is required as needed.
Salary: £18,000 - £21,000
Pension: Cavendish Cancer Care Group Personal Pension Plan, Royal London Employer Contribution 3%, Employee Contribution, variable up to 8%
Annual Leave: 25 days + Bank Holidays
