Mansukhbhai Jagani invented a motorcycle based tractor that can plow an acre of land in 30 minutes with two Liters of fuel. The tractor has another advantage that it can easily be afforded by Indian Farmers as it costs only Rs. 16,500. The ‘super plough’ bike is being named Buller Shanti and it can perform multiple

functions like furrow-opening, sowing, inter-culturing and spraying operations. This device has brought a wave of hope in the lives of Indian Farmers.

Ela BhattEmpowering half of the India’s population - women!

Ela Bhatt is presented as a successful example when it comes to explain the model of micro-finance. She founded an NGO – SEWA (Self-Employed Women’s Association) which is a setting paradigm to prove the strong relevance

of micro-finance in bringing a change to the neglected section. In 1974, SEWA formed a bank with registered 4000 members who were economically weak but many in numbers. It has been helping the women of rural India to secure their hard-earned money safely and take loan when required and that too with meager interest rates. Besides, SEWA is acting as a precursor in empowering such women by training them and availing them with basic facilities.

Born in a village of Rajasthan in a family of daily wagers, Madanlal Kumawat could not study because of an accident.
